My reason for loving vintage motels and road side diners is for the fact it brings back happy memories of a time when life was less hectic. Traveling used to be fun & leisurely. I grew up in the 60's and 70' when life wasn't so hectic. My family and I enjoyed traveling and stopping in road side diners for something to eat. It seems, now, travel has become a pain in the neck. People are in a hurry to get to their destination & don't have time to sit down, in a restaurant, and leisurely enjoy a meal before getting back on the road. Traveling, by car, was my favorite thing to do because I enjoyed looking out the window and seeing all of the different landscapes and houses. As a child my mind would wonder what type of people lived in those old farm houses we would pass by. This is one reason why I enjoy your videos of you driving around talking to your audience. It feels like I am with a friend and we are enjoying a car trip and visiting with each other. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE hearing your thoughts and feelings on the places you have explored. I want to say you made the right decision to speak about your painful experience if it made YOU feel better. I am so excited to know Brennen will be in town, soon. He seems like such a sweetheart, and I hope to see the two of you doing a live stream together.
