Behind the scenes (August/September, 2021)

I’m currently working on a lovely bolero by a Cuban guitar maestro Manuel Galban. The song is called La Luna en tu Mirada and it can be heard on Ry Cooder’s album Mambo Sinuendo on which both of them played.
My idea for this song is to juxtapose two different instruments. The first version will be played on a classical guitar while for the second one I will be using an electric guitar. We will have them side by side and it should be interesting to compare them.
There is a long list of songs awaiting to be covered, all of them being tempting and challenging. Right now there are two songs which piqued my curiosity, so after La Luna en tu Mirada I will probably proceed with a jazz tune Cheek to Cheek and a blues tune I’d Rather Go Blind.
