Behind the scenes (November, 2021)

For the next installments I want to do some Latin music and then more jazz after that. The song I'm currently working on is the well-known Caballo Viejo. This beautiful Venezuelan folk song has made an international crossover across music styles and cultures to become a timeless classic. The arrangement will involve some very nice Cuban salsa rhythms in an easy flat picking style.
After Caballo Viejo, I'll probably go with the old jazz tune Ain't Misbehavin', most likely also in fingerstyle arrangement. This jazz standard has a really strong melody and some very sweet harmonies and was performed by many important musicians: Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Django Reinhardt, Joe Pass... In other words it's a must know tune!
