New YAGS Release Date Update

Dearest senpai & naughty pudding, we have an update on the planned release date for our game.

Instead of publishing our game in 2023, we are pushing its planned release until after the New Year. Our planned release period has changed to TBD in 2024. We know everyone was excited to explore Elysia's world and Eddie’s new apartment before the end of the year, but we want to assure you that the delay is not without thorough assessment and valid reasons!

While our debugging of the witch’s cabin is going smoothly, we have decided to push back its release to ensure its stability and sustainability. Our small team is working hard to perfect key features that will breathe new life into the YAGS experience. These features include:

• Refining the game's narrative & story designs to ensure immersive gameplay and a fluid dialogue exchange with the AI.
• Revising the personality of each AI to create spirited conversation partners with fewer quirks, e.g. lessening the likelihood of misunderstanding players or repeating topics.
• Working on the AI characters for future levels.
• Building & maintaining a secure game server system for players to track achievements.
• Strategizing a sustainable economy to make gameplay free & accessible for all players.
• Improving the game’s overall aesthetic, from UI to level design and other things that are pretty to look at.
• Nailing the game's branding, including a title we are happy with!

We know a thing or two about going overboard; we’ve all seen what can happen when Eddie gets too ambitious about achieving her goals! To do right by the community, we want to make sure we don't yandere too close to the sun due to skipping key components to launching this one-of-a-kind AI-powered game. It’s thanks to your support that we learned what is possible to expand this game beyond its humble demo into a truly unique game, and your continued support as we develop Eddie’s universe means the world to us.

Even though Elysia's level may take longer to launch than initially planned, we’re excited to say that the renovations to Eddie's apartment level are underway! That's right, the apartment remake has been in development this whole time. We plan to launch both levels together, allowing our longtime community members to reconnect with Eddie and meet Elysia at the same time. 😼🍵
