Important payment updates

I'm sure most of you remember the payment shenanigans of last month. I just got an email from Patreon with some solid info finally.... seems it was actually T&A getting everyone in a tizzy:

"To give you more info, we’ve started working with multiple payment processors to be able to continue successfully processing adult content creators. As a result, we moved the processing for adult creators to the UK. Unfortunately, this means some of your patrons may see a 3% international processing fee for their pledge. This is determined by their bank, not by Patreon, and every bank treats these things differently which makes it hard for us to assess who will be affected. "

Unfortunately looks like it may still be an issue for some patrons again this month. But we're better prepared? Ugh I'll keep my fingers crossed, and I do hope no one get's the processing fee. Here's info if the payment gets declined again:

"If your patrons are having any trouble, here’s what they can do:

If their bank suspects that the Patreon payment is fraudulent, a patron can call up their bank to confirm the payment is theirs and genuine.
If their payment failed, they can follow these steps or switch to adifferent payment method.
If they are seeing an international processing fee, they can switch their pledge to a different bank that doesn’t charge for international payments.
They can reach out to the Patreon support team to get account specific help."

Additionally they did say that they would individually contact anyone with a fluffed up payment so that's hopefully helpful...

(On a personal update note I'm still crazy knocked out from this week and super out of it. So rather than risk flaring myself more doing work (that lets me honest I'd probably screw up) I'm trying to rest today but stay tuned bcs I've got some sweet sweet content coming!! )
