Craft room/office shenanigans (and why I got knocked on me arse)
Added 2018-09-17 10:49:44 +0000 UTCRight, first off, thank you so much for the positive feedback on my massive blog post previously. It was cool to feel like I was just chilling, telling you guys a story, hehe.
Anywhoodles, here's the updates I mentioned in my last post!
Okiedokes so, originally I didn't move all my stuff out for my old apartment, I still left some stuff in storage there because the plan was to organize the storage in the new apartment get the craft room setup in the in the den and then there would be room to move the rest of my crap in here during the summer. As I'm sure most of you know this year did not go remotely close to any plans that I had and when I had very little time or ability to do anything sorting the apartment definitely took a back burner behind slightly more important things like trying to pay rent and putting food in my face.
So basically I ran out of time to pick up my old stuff before I finished sorting the apartment which resulted in the den packed completely to the brim with boxes and nothing was accessible. Which by the way was another reason that making Mad Hatter stuff was such a shitshow because I couldn't find half of my crafting things! So last weekend (a week ago) my mom graciously drove up & stayed over Saturday night and did the majority of helping me sort through the craft room stuff. I tried to be just the conductor but obviously that didn't last long and between the two days I was probably on my feet moving and packing for about 10 hours. Which is probably about what I do in a normal functional week. Even though I was all braced up and such I definitely flared myself so I've been having to take it easy this week so I don't puke, cry, and pass out from pain. BUT! my wrists have let up enough I could still edit and do work laying down so that's pretty fab!
So here's the before (like I wasn't kidding, trashnado went through there):

aaaand after:

The apartments definitely still a little messier than before we started doing the craft room stuff, and nothings pretty labelled haha, but from the last week of work - all of my crafting, cosplay, and sewing is now organized and accessible. As well as an office section with all my prints stuff organized. Like I've still got a few boxes to sort but overall I cannot believe how much progress we made. SO NOW I'M REAL CHUFFED I FINALLY HAVE DESK SPACE TO SIGN AND PACKAGE YAAAAAY.
Oh and check out my cam party drawer all organized, mmmm sexy

even stuck some sneaky back of door storage because... well I have learnt I own a lot of shoes okie?

A super neat side effect of going through all my craft/cosplay pieces and fabric and such, was getting massive inspiration for new shoots! I kept adding things to my shoot/make next section and now there's like ten things there hahaha
I think I actually have like three concepts for Oct and I can't decide... I think Imma need your help ahah, I'll chuck up a poll for Tier 1 this week :)
Phew that was a lot, but I've been a little bit radio silent this week and it was just because I didn't have the spoons to try and type up what has been going on. I was either resting as hard as I could, or working/organizing any chance I got. So in the future if I go silent for a bit probably just assume that I'm living under a rock and putting all of my energy into editing or getting work out on time for you guys (or I'm in an awful flare not able to move but nobody wants that so let's assume the best haha) ❤️
PS I will be getting through more messages shortly, if you haven't heard back from me yet, apologies but shant be long!
PPS oh I forgot to mention that new medication that fucked me up last month? I'm now on double the dose... so more side effects all over again! It's a fun battle, I'm surprised I don't accidentally drink windex or something I'm so confused 98% of the time, and that overlaps with pain and/or not being able to be vertical about 85% of the time, woooo

I feel vindicated heheh
2018-09-18 23:52:50 +0000 UTCNo way! I used to shoot too. I had a Hoyt buffalo (Hawkeye bow from the first avenger) at 50lb draw. It was a beast and I was so good but then I broke both my wrists, yes at the same time and lost it all, never could get back to where I was. So had to hang up my bow for good :(
