Considering the circumstances I think I'm holding up. I'm a long time member and for the past couple months a moderator for a writing community in my area. We are mostly queer folks, so there's a lot of stuff folks are worried about right now. I run a weekly in-person meetup on Sundays for this month; so I plan on cheering people up, offering hugs, and giving people the resolve to write. Personally I find when things are out of my control, it's best to do what I can. Like right now there's a lot of bad things going on Twitter. I can't change the world events, their TOS which harms artists, or their bots which promote fear and anger for engagement; but I can move to Bluesky. I can still keep in touch with current events on there, and I can blocklist entire groups of assholes so I never have to see them. People also seem a lot nicer there so far. I hope we get to see more of you over there. How are you feeling Mel? I hope you are getting all the support you need right now. If there is anything I can do to make your day just a little bit better then let me know.
