My daughter and I are stunned and saddened by the results of the recent election, but we are doing OK.

I'm aware that my family is in a (relatively) safe state and are lucky that we can also send my now-adult child out of the country if needed. So now, I do what I can elsewhere; I talk with other parents of trans kids. I help out at the meet-up groups that are run by local organizations. I donate. I do what I can to help those who are much earlier on this journey and who are navigating a landscape that I didn't have to. And thanks also to your daughter for the guitar accompaniment; I have no musical talent and am in awe of those who do!
