Sunday night update - it's a celebration

So I just had to open this one with the astounding news that after over 5 years, Tony Ferguson has finally snapped the 8 fight losing streak. Yes, it was to a TikToker. Yes, said TikToker had a pretty mid record against low tier competition. But God dammit, in order to break the curse I'd have accepted Tony punching a toddler as a W. Its like its 2019 all over again. Covid hasn't happened. The Apex is still just a training area, and not a sepulcher where fights go to be buried. Rogan hasn't convinced anyone to ingest Horse de-wormer. If you close your eyes and listen closely, you can hear chants of "Champ Shit Only" on the wind. Can you feel it? We're only weeks away from Tony vs Khabib.

ANYWAY.

Good evening gang! I hope you're all keeping well. So I'm back from vacation and neither myself or Mrs B died. So it went about as well as we could've hoped for despite life attempting to derail the trip at every opportunity. Aside from the Forest fires in Portugal, Biscuit was in the vets multiple times for fighting just to try and terrify us into staying home, and I pulled my back out lifting weights the day before we were due to fly. But it's fine! We made it, and relaxed for a few days, so it's all good!

So for my Brothers and Sisters in the Northern Hemisphere, you've noticed those lengthening shadows, that chill in the air, and a rustling of leaves underfoot that can only mean one thing: Summers end. And that means, I gotta start working on a fucking Christmas video soon.

So I'm at a bit of a quandary right now. What I wanted to do is start Lineal 5. BUT, if Lineal 4 was anything to go by, that shit took 3 months. So if i start 5 now, there's a good chance I will either:

1. Have to pause production mid way to start on the End of Year video

2. Power through to get it done and miss the End of Year video altogether.

In order to get the Xmas video done, I need to start it no later than mid October. So that really leaves me with about 6 weeks now to get Lineal 5 done and I don't want to try and crunch it out on a time limit. I might possibly get it done in 6 weeks, as there's not a massive amount left to cover, but I think you all know how these things go by now. I mean Jesus Christ the Moneyberg video was supposed to be like, 40 minutes long and even that turned into an hour and ten minutes. I don't really like either of those options to be honest, so there is a third option:

1. We do a completely different idea that can be done in a relatively constrained production cycle, thus saving Christmas, and ensuring we get Lineal 5 in early 2026

Right now, I'm feeling option 3. And October 2025 is the 5 year anniversary of one of my first ever attempts at video essaying, "The Wild World of Underground Fighting". If you haven't seen it, good. Because its fucking awful. Don't look it up. Like, I attempted to re-watch it yesterday and woof.. even I had to turn that shit off after a few minutes. How tf did any of you ever listen to me if that's what I was putting out there?? Are you mental?? It's definitely a case of good idea, bad execution. Which is why I'm thinking this might be worth re-visiting. A return to where it all sort of started. A chance to do a proper dive into the backyard, underground, and in some cases under a bridge, no holds barred fighting scene.

It's a series I've already kinda pre-researched, or at least, I have a framework I can begin looking into already thanks to my previous work on it, so it's entirely possible to get this thing done in time to kick off the End of Year video too.

As always, I'm gonna give it a week or so of writing, try and put together an intro segment by next weekend, and if i think this is a runner, then that's where we're headed next!

So other than that, lets see what else is going on. I'm still getting harrassed by Moneyberg in the form of numerous takedown requests on the video, he keeps filing "privacy complaints" for the segments i showed of his students saying they were "2 weeks into the course and its better than group sex if the groups in question were BTS, The Spice girls circa 1996, Backstreet Boys also circa 96, BlackPink, En Vogue, etc etc.". So i keep having to blur out those peoples faces to try and keep the video online. I guess its only a privacy concern when I use the clips and not when he hosts them publicly on his bum shit website. And I cant prove it was Moneyberg, but the video also got hit with an age restriction due to the compilation of Joe Rogan stool humping. I've used those clips so many times and never had problems until now so I fuckin' know Moneyberk is behind this somehow.

I also got offered the possibility to be a brand ambassador for DAZN too which was kinda funny to me. Because literally every single time I have mentioned a DAZN branded fight, it has been to shit on it with the force of a neutrino moving at light speed. I guess they must be desperate. But it might be fun to accept the offer and see how long it takes for them to then rescind said offer when I wipe my ass with another DAZN Jake Paul fight.
