2025-06-02 01:34:27 +0000 UTCLauren G. pleaded not guilty to DUI, alleging that the traffic stop was unlawful because police discovered her at a time when her vehicle was inoperable, and was never observed driving. However, in her citation the arresting officer states that the defendant moved the vehicle about 1.5 feet from the roadway to partially off the roadway, hence she was in actual physical control of a running vehicle. The judge determined her motion to suppress all evidence against her to be moot and after many hearings she was offered a plea deal. On 4/22/2024 she pleaded guilty to reckless driving, a second degree misdemeanor. She was fined $942, which she paid in a lump sum on 5/1/2024. There is no mention of probation, loss of driving privilege, or any other penalties in the court record.
