My Next Nara Trip

My next long stay in Japan is set for December-February. Needless to say, the main point of this trip is to return to Nara for an extended period of time to just enjoy it without major distractions. The primary plan is rest and time away from work. But I do have some plans for a few creative things I would like to do while I am there, which are mostly film based ideas. I would like to start producing short nomad/tourism type videos that tie into my love of retro gaming, coffee, animals, chill activities, collecting, etc. And I am particularly qualified to create a video guide for Nara specifically. So that's part of my todo list in Japan.

This trip will come shortly after I will be moving into my brand new house here in Thailand, which might seem like bad timing. But to me, that means I will have a chance to enjoy Japan before really settling into our new home. And also be able to pick up some of the souvenirs and home goods that I have been skipping on since I didn't have a home for them yet. After the trip, I can return to Thailand, settle in, and start doing all of the things I have been dreaming of since we started designing this home during the pandemic. I will finally have the perfect home and all the things I want in that home to really make it my ideal live/work/play/chill spot and do literally anything I want. And it will be the perfect place to start working on new creative endeavors. I am sure this trip to Japan will get some of those creative juices flowing, too.

Before I head to Japan in early December, I should be close to wrapping up the development of the HIPPO game (might finish it in Nara), releasing my Ayaneo DMG review video, which I am hoping will be my best one, and have all of my filming concepts ready for Japan. By the time I return to Thailand in late February, I should have a bunch of cool footage to put out several unique videos. And I will continue with some of the new film concepts at my home in Thailand.

As far as future game development goes... we'll see. That still needs some serious healing and thought put into it. But there is always something in me that wants to create, so I will for sure be making art of some kind in 2025 and beyond. Japan and the new dream home will certainly help steer me in the right direction. Exciting times are coming, for sure. Hope some of you will join me on the journey.
