Hey, Ralfy, thanks for bringing up the cask dilemma in relation to the emerging US single malt industry. That's the first thing I thought of when I heard the progress they are making with the legislation and definition of American Single Malt. Surely the demand will be too great for the Scotch Whisky industry's quotas to continue to be filled, and they will have to look elsewhere for casks.

The last whisky you reviewed of 21yo or greater was back in April of 2022 in review 924. It was a 23 yo IB bottling of Glen Grant. Prior to that you have to go way back to January of 2020 when you reviewed a 21yo Arran in review 858.
The oldest whisky you ever reviewed was a 46yo Glenburgie in review 618.
