Anyway, on to the update!! There's three things I wanna talk about:

• My Next Video - Detroit: Become ???

• Bladerunner: 2049 Video collaborations

• Updating Stream Setup

So Let's Talk About Them!!

1. My Next Video

Did you know that Detroit: Become Human has a manga?? Well now you do! It takes place in Tokyo with its own original story and it’s officially a part of the game’s universe… and I think the narrative is better than the game. Now it’s not better by a huge margin, but its simplicity and lack of on-the-nose historical imagery parallels gives us a glimpse of what the game could’ve been. It’s not original nor thought provoking but I admire the effort… until it crashes down with its rushed ending.

Anyway, hope you look forward to it! Adapting comic panels was fun in my previous Scott Pilgrim video, so it’s neat I get to do it again in this next video!

It seems to be about 4500-5000 words long, which equates to maybe around a 30-35 minute video. I’m about to record the audio! So get ready to see some doodles of it in the Discord next week!

2. Bladerunner: 2049 Collab

Bladerunner:2049 is one of my favorite films and I recently stumbled upon an article / essay that blew my mind away!! So I reached out to the author and asked if I could adapt their work for a video. They reached out and they agreed! I’m just waiting for their approval since I sent them a draft of what the adapted script is gonna look like. 

What’s the video about? It’s a surprise! In fact, me adapting this article is pretty apt to the subject matter of the video too. I do hope it gets approved by the author because this video is just SO COOL AAAAAH.

3. STREAMING

I recently streamed YIIK some weeks ago, and it reminded me how fun streaming was. It’s been years since I streamed regularly, and there have been leaps and bounds in plug-ins and videos detailing their capabilities have been amazing to witness! I’ve seen streams that have genuinely inspired me to try to one up my game!

I’ve never been a ‘serious’ streamer, and I don’t plan on doing it full time, but I’ve been eager to dip my toes back in the space just to try out the new things I’ve learnt. Hope you look forward to ‘em! It won’t be anytime soon but I'll sure to let folks know when another stream pops up :)
