P.S Sorry about the blue tape I left on the wall

There have been so many changes since then, that I think a new tour is needed. I'm guessing American Gods was removed because of the accusations against the author.

2024-10-05 19:56:54 +0000 UTCThe area around the door in the picture of the Hobbit hole on the shelf (not the pictures on the wall) looks to me like the shape of the head of somebody from whatever species Yoda and Grogu are. Wrong fandom, I know, but that's what it looks like to me.

2024-09-29 00:54:47 +0000 UTC12:08 lovely to hear that, I'll look into getting that for my nephews. I hope you like the Brambly hedge books :)

2024-03-22 20:33:04 +0000 UTCI love that many of your books have stories behind them. Books are great time capsules. You could pin your Arwen necklace’s ends to the edge of a shelf so it hangs over the lower shelf like a necklace.

2024-03-19 02:46:03 +0000 UTCThe cookbooks are a great idea! I don't really own any now, but I'll be keeping an eye out...Currently, Dapper Rat has been paired with another hobbit house print, just for the sake of space, but maybe I'll look for a more victorian piece...As for how I took up cooking and sewing, I wish there was a more dramatic story, but they were just one of many childhood hyperfixations of mine. I wanted to learn how to sew and make pretty dresses when I was 12, so I used my birthday money to buy a sewing machine and taught myself. With baking, I got it in my head that I wanted to get really good at making cupcakes, and figured it all out eventually, haha. The powers of my stubbornness have few limits

2024-03-18 13:22:54 +0000 UTCI actually ended up putting all of them up, but I love the suggestion haha! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I really like making more casual ones for you guys. As for Neil reccs, It depends on your taste! Stardust is really fun pre-Tolkienian inspired storybook fantasy, Coraline is killer children's literature. I've also heard incredible things about his graphic novel series Sandman, but haven't read it yet. If you haven't read Good Omens yet, it was a collab with Terry Pratchett and is one of my all time favorites.

2024-03-18 13:17:16 +0000 UTCOkay, first, I love what you did with the bookshelf! My personal thought for seasons is autumn and summer, but that's just because I'm a contrarian and would like to see two seasons that have nothing whatsoever to do with the current time. Everything else, no notes. Second, I love these more candid, personal behind the scenes videos! Seeing you just doing stuff unscripted feels so personal, so honest, in a way that seeing you do scripted stuff isn't. Third, as someone who's only read American Gods, what would you suggest next?

2024-03-18 00:04:36 +0000 UTCI'm glad I'm not the only one who does this to my shelf, and I dont even had a camera and audience pointed at it.

2024-03-17 09:11:39 +0000 UTCI also am pretty sure hobbit homes are full of things...all sorts of family things and useful things and decorative things...my mom loved stuff and collected lots of beautiful glass, linens, interesting art and even had a stuffed animal (beatrix potter themed) or two.

2024-03-16 21:46:49 +0000 UTCAll the books are great. I was fascinated by your bookcase early on in my viewing because you have so many classics and interesting books which you reference for various reasons in your videos. What about a cookbook or two? I know you are a great cook! I think the stuff behind you is an improvement for sure but the dapper rat needs a similar piece to really make it look Victorian. All the objects and books definitely help describe who you are and why we love your content; so it's a really nice addition to keep working on. (I'd love to know when you learned how to sew and when you became so interested in cooking (especially mastering sourdough!)

2024-03-16 01:29:10 +0000 UTCIt's funny you say that, because next year I plan on doing a video on weather predicting rodents...

2024-03-16 01:27:37 +0000 UTCAccording to Punxsutawney Phil, it is spring. But considering the 39° Temps in my side of the state it doesn't feel like it😵💫😔. At least I can breath clearly for now.

2024-03-16 00:19:36 +0000 UTCYou need to plan for a space for the You Tube 100,000 subscribers plaque. Thank you, Jess. ❤❤ Well, I should have watched longer before commenting. Forget the plaque!

2024-03-15 22:20:25 +0000 UTCdorkness rising-really funny and worth the hunt. For american fantasy I'd suggest lieber's "Swords of Lankhmar"

2024-03-15 21:42:59 +0000 UTCI was also fascinated with survival and bushcraft when I was a kid. One of my favorite books was "My Side of the Mountain," about a kid who runs away to live in a hollowed out tree in the Catskills. And I think probably I would put up the opposite season pictures. I like being reminded of sunny days in the winter, and snow in the summer.

2024-03-15 21:34:23 +0000 UTCThe rearrangement looks good! If I were forced to issue some sort of critique, I would say maybe the knick knacks are a little busy, but that's also cool, depending on what you're going for. Thank you for this peek behind the scenes. The dapper rat is amazing! Don't know about the arrangement of the seasonal hobbit holes and Sting, maybe something to play with. Anyway I'll stop rambling. Cheers!
