Hi everyone! Some sketches from the past week or two. A combination of commission work as well as just trying to relearn the basics of art and design.
I was drawing the other day and realized how hard it was to draw anything that looked good. So I pulled up some YouTube videos on how to draw for beginners. It’s humbling to learn the basics all over again. I realized there was so much I missed. The first picture is numbered 1-10 and each sketch represents an element of art I was working on.
1. line work
2. basic shapes
3. 3d objects
4. Basic anatomy
5. Perspective
6. Dynamic posing
7. Advanced perspective
8. Facial structure
9. Advanced anatomy
10. Composition
One day I plan to do full studies of each of these elements, but just relighting the part of my brain that knows this information helped so much.
If you’re having trouble drawing I highly suggest this method! I can’t tell you how many times it’s gotten me out of a rut.
