Fighting is a big part of what she does but it doesn't capture her lackadasial attitude towards most everything even in the face of adversity.

While a bit generic on the idea, i'd say that some of those definetly capture our favorite battle crazed healer. Even if i wanted to complain, at least half are already great images one way or another, so i can only hope that these artists get the recognition they desserve. Also, Number three and four are badass.

I can't believe #3 isn't winning. That pic is like Ilea and much of the story personified. The others all come off as generic, even if technically well done, in comparison!!

I actually really like number 2, I get some real feelings of fear and terror from looking at that image. I would totally put up a framed picture of it in my home. Its like how the normal people feel when looking at her.

also wanted to add, that it is a nice drawing and a typical drawing, which will be appreciated by the readers, but not a art contest winner

It is a good idea and the drawing isnt bad, but it just isnt as polished as the high voted ones. The style is quite simple and good looking, but even then it definitely could be improved. Also a well drawn detailed battle scene is for one more fitting to the theme of this story and i can imagine, that it is more, what people think of, when thinking about a illustration fitting to azarinth healer. Also i found it lacking in visuals, that connected the drawing to the story. I think everyone here remembers the scene, but there is nothing really visually telling me, that this is azarinth healer. No armors, no iconic characters and yes illea is in there, but nude and with sunglasses is not really a typical look, iconic would be something like her ash armor.

I think conceptwise it’s really fucking cool, but some of the other options are simply more polished compared to it. I voted for 3 4 and 11. they are all really fucking awesome in their own way

Kinda sad that the acid bath drawing isn't getting more votes, it's the one that stands out the most to me.

@Jonathan Nah man, truth is alright, but it often isn't necessary. They are probably aware of their shortcomings already. And being an asshole is the "bad thing," which you definitely are.

It's not a bad thing to tell the truth but still it's good to consider the impact of your words. If someone is 'bad at art', that artist is simply a beginner. Too many people quit early because they don't think they're good enough and later they regret it. There's money in the prize pot yes, but ultimately it's just a fun thing and if everyone pitch in to make it a fun thing, it will succeed. No scaring off the newbs from the art scene :P
