So as I said, I tried setting up a scene and rendering in Blender. The main reason for this is that Blender allows using RAM in place of VRAM for GPU rendering when you run out of VRAM, which is extremely helpful for less powerful computers. In comparison, in Daz, you can't use the GPU at all if you run out of VRAM. There are also lots of different things you can do in Blender that you can't do in Daz, such as making new objects.

But the downsides of using Blender are, that it takes a lot more time to set up a scene, even just using assets right out of Daz, and in the two images I have posted, you can see the difference between the rendering engines in Blender and Daz. The first one is from Blender, and the second one is from Daz. Personally I think the Daz one looks better, but that can be due to me using materials converted from Daz to Blender. Whenever there is any kind of conversion or transfer, the converted version is never as good as the original one. However, if I need to manually adjust the materials in Blender, then certainly using Blender will cost me more time than using Daz.

In conclusion, both Blender and Daz have their own advantages. Blender is a full 3d modelling software. It has pretty much everything you need. It has modelling, sculpting, mesh deformations, particle systems, fluid simluation etc, things that are very important and yet Daz doesn't have. One thing that Blender lacks is convenience, and it's a huge factor in production time.

On the other hand, Daz is all about convenience. You can swap clothes and hair with the click of a button. Everything is organised around characters, and anything else is just drag-and-drop. The biggest downside of Daz is its hardware requirements

Well, after trying out pretty much everything, Daz is still the easiest option to use, despite all its shortcomings, which are not minor, because I can't render more characters in the same scene with my current computer.
