She said "I am taking her feelings into consideration here" indicating there's probably some bad blood or some issues with the Gaen family. She picked a different name from someone who she felt would be realistic for the position that she's in while also having a precedent for trust. As a viewer, it's up to you to choose if you trust them or their intentions are good. Hanekawa saving him was more of a reference to Tsubasa Tiger. If you remember, the cram school burned down in that arc - like that's when we first see it. What was setting stuff on fire in that arc? The tiger and the cat are parts of Hanekawa, "The samurai stepped on the tiger's tail" it was basically coincidence. If the building didn't go up in flames, why would the first one have stopped?
