I don't know if others will get into this. But I do have some important comments to make for this episode and a general statement about how Season 2 has a lot more missing and important content from the Light Novel. Some of it is baffling. I used to take my time to list out a lot of things. But I got lazy and who has time to read it all anyhow. Lol So I only focus on what is most relevant in my opinion or the coolest. Not much to mention right now except to know that so much is missing from Sylphys times with Princess Ariel. Ariel has other bodyguards and people near her that are just missing from this episode and in general. Sylphy on more then one occasions saves Ariel from assassinations. Sylphy actually has killed quite a few people. Something that Rudy has really not done right? So it's just something to remember in the back of your heads that Ariel has a had even more conflict, attempts on her life, and battle alongside Sylphy then the anime will show. Some of it is really cool. They kind of go though a mini hell together for a while, as they travel together. I think Ariel looses some of her body guards in the process too. That's all I can say for spoiler purposes. But yes about it for now.

2026-02-18 15:28:56 +0000 UTCDerrick could have killed the boar (or at least tried to). The problem was the distance and direction of its movement—the boar was close and moving toward Ariel. As I recall, in the light novel, Derrick could have cast a spell, but then the boar would have had time to attack (and likely kill) Ariel. Derrick interrupted the spell and decided to block its path at the cost of his life.

No one said they were non cannon or outide of story, just out of time or chronoligical order since both are perspective flashbacks, therefor they aren't a direct continuation of episode 23 since they both took place before it. Most commenters have been fine with maybe minor inaccurracies here and there. I think most have been chill and pretty good about avoiding spoilers too and being careful to only mention things that were asked or that provided additional context that anime had to cut (while also carefully leaving stuff out that anime left out for later)

She expelled all her mana while falling to break her fall, to point of absolute exhaustion that it turned her hair white and made her pass out when she landed. This is something that's not really explained in anime yet but not much of a spoiler. Although I do think it'll get explained at a later point.

Then Ariel decided she would get her shit together because of his dying wish. Night Hawk lost both her arms and legs when Sylphie blasted her out the window. Ariel's presence at Sauros' execution might introduce a slight inconsistency later on. I'm curious as to how the anime will solve it.

2026-02-17 20:47:15 +0000 UTCMost people, including palace guards, are not that strong, they're intermediate level or so, very few people can get to higher levels. The boar was a Terminate Boar, ranked C tier, Derrick and Luke couldn't beat it for sure.

2026-02-17 19:28:05 +0000 UTCMy favourite time of the week! :D Regarding the "flowery speech" or code words - right at the beginning of the episode, Ariel and Luke talked about breasts and nipples :P Ariel apparently likes them small and firm and then she mocks Luke for only caring about size ^^ While the social scene was about Grabel accusing Ariel of trying to go for the crown and he insulted Pilemon that he never amounts to anything and always only comes second place, so he should at least be on the winners (Grabel's) side. The hair color change is from stress. That is something that can happen in real life, usually from extremely traumatic events or injuries - although it is *very* rare and ofc your hair wouldn't grey/white out immediately. as it does in the anime. It's sped up for story reasons. Chillih is super close to EStein behaviour here with his guess :D In the anime there is only like one small mention of it from Lilia back when Rudeus still lived at home, but iirc in the novel she talks a bit more about it. Lilia used to work in the Asura Palace as a maid before she came to Paul and Zenith and she mentions how... uuh.... degenerate the nobles of Asura and the royalty in particular are. That's why she doesn't think too much of Rudy keeping Roxy's underwear by the way. She has seen way, WAAAAAY worse, so for her it's just "ah, he is a little perverted, that's almost cute".
