2024-10-07 16:18:40 +0000 UTCEnjoy never being able to trust a statue again! For me this is where Doctor Who has always been at it's greatest: When it takes an everyday thing and makes it scary somehow

2024-10-01 22:27:36 +0000 UTCWhen I watched this episode as a 10 year old child... I nearly died. The jumpscare almost destroyed me and my mum lmao

2024-10-01 20:34:03 +0000 UTCI watched this when I was like 7 or 8. This, along with the episode with the boy in the gas mask and a future episode you haven't seen yet really creeped little me out lol.

2024-10-01 15:34:59 +0000 UTCBTW, a fan theory that is now my head canon is that the βshe was named Sally tooβ woman that Billy Shipton ended up marrying was Kathyβs daughter Kathy went back to 1920 and had a number of kids, so could have easily been 15-20 years later that her youngest, Sally, was born. That would mean she was somewhere around 30ish when Billy shows up in 1969 - reasonably close to his own age.

2024-10-01 14:47:16 +0000 UTCSo glad you like this episode, it's my favorite by far (until now, have not seen too many yet though...). I saw this when it was originally on television and I think it was the first time I saw Carey Mulligan in anything (love her acting in this). I think there is a good reason this episode is ranked a 9.8 on IMDB (highest rated Dr. Who, or not???). Believe me, you will never look at statues the same way after seeing this!
