2024-10-19 21:28:50 +0000 UTCPeter Davison is not only the fifth Doctor, he is David Tennant's father in law, and my parsonal favorite classic Doctor. Tennant was a fan of Doctor Who during Davison's time, but I believe has stated his favorite was the fourth Doctor, Tom Baker.

2024-10-19 17:02:13 +0000 UTCA small piece of trivia about Peter's Doctor. When Tom Baker left the show and Peter Davidson took over the role. Peter Davidson was the first Doctor to be named as "The Doctor" in the end credits. The previous 4 Doctors had been named as Doctor Who in the end credits.

2024-10-19 13:23:20 +0000 UTCThis mini episode really brings back memories for me, Peter Davidson was my Doctor as well. In the 80’s when I was a little boy, most media influences where through my parents or older brother. This means I shared the love for Star Wars (OT), Indiana Jones, ET, the Goonies, etc. with them. Watching Dr. Who on daytime television (before it was wisely moved to the evening) was all for me. At least it felt like this was all mine and Peter Davidson as the Doctor and the Tardis made such a big impression on me as a young kid. It wasn’t until the new series I got into the series again, but Peter Davidson will always be my Doctor! I guess this is the same for David Tennant and Steven Moffat, I am a bit younger, but I think I watched the re-runs in the Netherlands in the late 80’s. It still blows my mind that this series started in the early 60’s and is still gaining new fans.
