this is the first episode filmed in Full HD. Looks great but also funny how it highlights the dated effects (i.e. that skeleton bus driver lol) another fun fact: this is the 200th story (including classic who) which is why the bus is numbered 200

2025-01-11 10:37:02 +0000 UTC'Cor blimey' is just an extended version of the blimey exclamation. Originally it would've been 'Lord blind me' but over time it devolves. Also, Malcolm is played by Lee Evans, possibly one of the finest stand ups ever, and they probably called him that after a recurring character in his early stand up. Bit of pointless trivia there.

2024-12-24 22:45:58 +0000 UTCThe subtitles got it wrong there, the captain's line was actually "I don't believe it, guns that work!" in response to the missile launcher taking out one of the aliens. It's really supposed to be a *subversion* of the usual convention where guns/human weapons in general rarely work against alien threats in Doctor Who.
