while i never said victis i also need explain that my wording is specifically i dont like or i don't find interesting as in its a opinion not a statement on objective quality lord of rings is same i would never say its bad or badly written i just don't vibe with that tyle of writing

2025-01-15 19:17:38 +0000 UTCdemons being victims has been so overdone in fantasy anime and manga that this is way more interesting imo. How complex characters react in the face of absolutes and how it challenges them is compelling to me.

2025-01-14 17:06:01 +0000 UTCI think that's the whole point, they are carnivor or more accurate human-eating wild animals with ability to use magic who also can talk to deceive their pray with their words. That's basically it. Their brains have cognitive abilities to strategies their apporach, while they're still animal-like creatures, but most of all they lack empathy that people have, they have something more emotional intelligence they use to understand humans emotions and use that, that's why their way of perceiving things like killing others (especially humans who are just a weaker animals by their perspective) or using emotional manipulation is twisted in the eyes of the human. In their opinion "might makes right", it was stated in 10th episode that they didn't changed much in that regard from the wild beasts they are descendants of.
