As well as the cousins thing, I also read recently that the actress for young Amy is now older than Karen Gillan was in season 5 and I had a bit of an existential crisis.

2025-03-04 17:57:08 +0000 UTCit definitely took me longer to warm up to matt smith than it did for me with david tennant but to be fair i was already familiar with david as an actor so that could've made it easier. i think matt smith's quirky style caught me off guard at first and i wasn't sure how to take it but towards the end (and the christmas special i just watched for this week) he has really made a great impression on me

I know for a lot of people, myself included, it was so rough and sad losing David Tennant, who really took the show a step forward in popularity from the first season, for "this new guy" Matt Smith. After your first full season with him, how are you feeling about Matt Smith as the Doctor?
