here is my timed reaction to the 2010 doctor who christmas special "a christmas carol"
i LOVED this, i think it's definitely my favorite christmas special so far out of all of them. it was so beautiful and felt christmas-y the entire time.

I always think about when 10 says to wilf ‘look at you, not remotely important’ and then 11 says he’s ‘never met anyone who wasn’t important before’ 😂 great episode though

2025-03-04 16:01:17 +0000 UTCI agree that this is definitely my favorite special up to this point. The time science is utterly nonsensical but ultimately, that just adds to the charm. It's all supposed to be a jumbled fairytale of complex emotions and a little bit of magic. Melancholy and joy and beautiful, painful nostalgia. All the things Christmas should be. It's interesting to think about how 9 refused to sit down for a "family meal" at all, even with Rose. 10 was pretty spotty about it, you kind of had to twist his arm and occasionally he'd flee rather than deal with it. 11 is just... all in here. The first one through the door lol. I love that.
