Deku-kun's Revenge (Choose Izuku's Adventure) Chapter 1
Added 2023-05-10 22:24:29 +0000 UTCOchako had never been a morning person. Her bubbly personality only came from good rest, and when she got too tired and started yawning all the time, she would sometimes end up using her quirk on accident and float, which was just downright embarrassing! If it was up to her, she would sleep in as much as she was allowed—call it beauty sleep or whatever!
Unfortunately, that choice wasn’t up to her. Her phone alarm didn’t even have to wake her up—her body’s natural clock did that for her as she quickly got dressed then went straight to Katsumi’s room without even brushing her own teeth first, knocking on the door.
“Miss Katsumi?”
The door opened not a second later to reveal Katsumi’s sneer. “My family doesn’t pay you to be a few minutes late.”
Ochako’s heart sank as she clenched her fists and sighed. “I’m sorry. Do you still want my help with your routine?”
Katsumi rolled her eyes and opened the door wider. “That is the whole reason I keep you around. Do you know what a pain it would be to have to find a replacement attendant now of all times and re-teach them my routines?”
Attendant. Might as well just call me servant. All the words that Ochako wasn’t allowed to say out loud echoed in her head as she knelt down to apply Katsumi’s special lotion to her legs. Katsumi’s quirk being tied to her skin and sweat gave her body plenty of necessary accommodations to remain in top shape.
It wasn’t like Ochako’s family was entirely incapable of handling UA’s tuition fee at this point—Ochako had been hired to serve Katsumi ever since they first entered UA, and the money she’d made from working for the Bakugou family over the last two years was enough for her to handle the tuition fees on her own now, but the money she made from this was just so helpful to alleviate any possible financial stress from her parents, so…she remained right where she was, smiling on the outside and grumbling on the inside as she rubbed the lotion in between Katsumi’s toes.
Katsumi didn’t even look or speak to her as she casually brushed her teeth while Ochako basically took care of her hygiene for her. Such was the life of Ochako Uraraka.
The gossip in the dorm seemed even heavier than usual once they joined the rest of the girls in the dorm’s dining room. Luckily, once Katsumi sat with her personal squad of popular girls—Mina, Kendo, and Setsuna—Ochako was free to sit with her own friends.
“Everyone seems pretty riled up this morning,” she commented as she sat beside Tsuyu.
“Ribbit. Don’t you remember, Ochako? Today is when we get the new transfer student.”
Ochako slammed her fist into her hand as a lightbulb went off in her head. “Oh, right! Sorry, I guess I just got so busy with my duties to Miss Katsumi that I totally forgot.”
Tsuyu nodded and tapped her chin. “Has she been working you extra hard lately? You know I’ll always step in and stand up for you if you need me to.”
She quickly shook her head and hugged Tsuyu. “No, it’s okay! Nothing worse than usual. I’ve just been tired lately, that's all!” She’d been tired for a long time. “Really, there’s no need for you to bother Miss Katsumi on my behalf.”
Tsuyu stared at her for a while before ribbiting. “Well…if you ever need help telling her off, I’ll try my best.”
“Ochako!” Katsumi suddenly snapped, crossing her legs like a true royal princess, although the omlet slice doused in hot sauce that she was holding up next to her took away any hint of a princess’s elegance. “The girls and I are having a bet. Taste this and tell me if it’s too hot for you.”
“Ochako…” Tsuyu muttered.
She gulped before smiling at Tsuyu and crossing her fingers. “I-I’ll be okay! Wish me luck!” With a sigh, she walked over and ate the stupid overly spicy bite of eggs.
After downing three glasses of water, Ochako melted into her seat and resisted the urge to tug at her own hair—that was the closest she could get to showing aggression towards Katsumi.
“You shouldn’t have done it. It’s not like playing along with her bets is part of your job description,” Tsuyu reasoned.
Ochako sighed and shrugged. “I know. I guess I’m just used to it after following her commands for two whole years of UA, you know? I hope this new student we get today shakes things up a bit somehow, because I could use some change…”
“Alright, girls! Hang onto your seats, because you know what time it is!” Midnight walked into the room and clapped her hands together. “As you all may remember, we have a new student who will be joining the hero course’s Class 3A starting today! Not only are they new, but they’re actually a foreign exchange student all the way from America! How exciting, right?”
“Oh, so she’s gonna be just like me?” Pony exclaimed, jumping out of her seat with sparkles in her eyes.
Midnight chuckled. “In a way, yes…though you may be surprised.” Midnight’s eyes glinted with mischief before she cleared her throat. “Alright, Midoriya, why don’t you come on in and introduce yourself!”
The door slammed open, making a huge entrance as strong footsteps echoed throughout the room. Ochako perked up with wide eyes. The foreign exchange student didn’t look like a blonde-haired American woman at all! Instead, it was…a boy. With green hair and green eyes that stared back into hers.
He smiled and wrote his name on the board behind him. “I’m Izuku Midoriya! It’s a pleasure to meet you all! I hope we can all get along from now on!”
The room was silent for a few moments before Kendo broke it, standing up and slamming her enlarged fists against her desk. “Miss Midnight, is this supposed to be some kind of prank? The male and female hero course students were split up last year for a reason, so surely they wouldn’t go breaking that rule now?” She pointed straight at Midoriya, who just smiled innocently. “There’s no way we can actually let a boy join our class again, right?”
Midnight sighed and grinned back at Midoriya. “It’s simple, really, Kendo. The male class—or Class 3B—is already overpopulated due to the merging of both hero course classes when we did the male and female split. They’ve got 26 students all packed in that one class and dorm! Talk about a sausage fest.” She gestured to the current emptier classroom. “By contrast, us girls only have a class of 14! Surely I don’t need to explain why the Principal thought it would simply be easier and more manageable for poor Aizawa if the foreign exchange student joined this class despite being male?”
Kendo gritted her teeth and glared at Izuku, who once again just waved as if he was being well-received. “Even so, Miss Midnight, we can’t just allow a boy to suddenly invade our class and our dorms! Need I remind you of what led to the male-female split in the first place? What that perverted little grape boy did to me?”
“Ugh.” Midnight rolled her eyes and fixed Kendo with a gaze that the girls could only imagine was normally reserved for her subs. “Listen, it’s not up to me either way. The principal chose to do things this way, so why can’t you girls just enjoy getting to fawn over a boy again? That’s what I would’ve done at your age…”
With a huff, Kendo sat back down, but her glare never left Midoriya’s friendly freckled face. “Oh, I intend to personally bring up my grievances to Principal Nezu later.”
Meanwhile, Uraraka hadn’t been able to take her eyes off of Midoriya for a second. She understood Kendo’s concerns about bending the rules, but part of her was a little…excited about having a boy in the class again. He was super handsome and looked like a nice guy, and he would no doubt have plenty of stories from his time in America!
“Take a seat wherever you’d like, Midoriya. As you can see, we have quite a few empty ones.”
He smiled and began walking through the rows of the classroom, with all the girls eyeing him with mixed emotions. Finally, he stopped right behind Katsumi’s desk.
Unlike all the other girls, Katsumi was the only one who hadn’t even spared a single glance at Izuku this entire time. Ever since he first walked in, Katsumi’s gaze had been fixed on the window with a bored expression, and that expression hadn’t changed a single time.
Finally, though, as Izuku stood behind her, Katsumi slowly turned to glare up at him, chin in her hand, lowering her lip to show off her teeth as her eyebrows furrowed and she fixed him with her most intimidating death stare. “The hell do you want?”
---
Every part of Izuku was screaming, ‘Found her!’ After all his years of training and preparing, finally he was right here in front of his childhood crush/bully/tormenter once again. And this time…he was here to stay.
“Right here.” He smiled and took his seat behind her. “I think I want to sit right here. It’s nice and close to the front of the room!”
Katsumi sneered and turned around, getting up on her knees in her seat. She even propped one knee on top of Izuku’s desk before leaning in and grabbing his tie, yanking him closer so their faces were inches apart.
Izuku couldn’t help but be proud of the way his heart didn’t even stutter from this type of contact with a girl he had once found so beautiful but now only looked at with contempt.
Katsumi’s contempt was all over her face, too, as their noses practically touched and she stared into his ‘friendly’ eyes. “Let’s get one thing straight between you and I before you even think about trying anything, yeah? If you even think about fucking with me, I’ll send your pasty foreign ass running home to America unable to ever have kids. Are we clear?”
“I’m actually originally from Japan.”
“I don’t give a rat’s ass where you’re originally from.” Katsumi sneered. “I said, are…we…clear?”
“Yeah, you tell him, Katsumi.” Kendo snickered.
Izuku cracked a smile. It seemed like Katsumi really didn’t recognize him at all—just like the last time they saw each other. Except unlike last time, it didn’t hurt anymore. It just fueled his desire for revenge, and her current snobby, abrasive threats added to that desire even more.
“And why should I be taking orders from you?” He raised an eyebrow.
She practically let out a growl and squeezed his tie harder. “I doubt you’ll last long in this class, but if you’re gonna stick around, then there’s a few things you’re gonna have to learn real fast, Deku.”
“‘Deku’?”
“Yeah, the name suits you better, doesn’t it?” She grinned and gestured to where he wrote his name on the board. “I made it by taking parts of your name to give you a nickname more fitting for you. Deku—useless.”
Yamikumo—Dark cloud.
His eyes narrowed ever so slightly. Some habits never changed, it seemed. “So, what are these things that I’m gonna have to learn real fast? Please enlighten me.”
“Don’t talk to me like a sarcastic smart ass. First things first—I’m the Class President, so it’d be in your best interest not to piss me off too much.”
He raised an eyebrow and glanced at all the other girls who were all watching this tense exchange between their president and the new kid. Even Miss Midnight was watching while sipping…some sort of weird pink drink. “Really? You all chose her to be the Class President?”
“Not exactly,” a woman with a tall, spiked ponytail spoke up. Momo Yaoyorozu, based on the preliminary research Izuku did. “When the male-female class split happened, we actually decided who would be class president via…combat.”
Katsumi grinned and dropped his tie since it clearly wasn’t getting a reaction out of him. “That’s right! And guess who came out on top out of 14 girls? Now do you see why you don’t wanna mess with me, newbie?”
He smirked and sat back in his seat nonchalantly. “Well, I never got this opportunity! If Class Presidency is decided by combat in this class, then isn’t it only fair that I also get a chance?”
Katsumi scoffed. “This happened ages ago, foreign boy. Besides, it’s not like you’d stand a chance, anyways.”
“Yeah?” He leaned forward again, which made her also lean forward so as to not seem intimidated. “If you really think that, then you wouldn’t mind letting me try, right?” He winked. “Are you willing to defend your position?”
“Oooooh…” The other girls dramatically built up the tension of the challenge as Katsumi glanced around and scowled at the girls before crossing her arms.
“Hmph. This is why this class was better off without any men—all that cockiness makes you rush into things without thinking.”
“Uh, you of all people are gonna complain about cockiness? Really, girl?” Mina pointed out.
“Shut it!” Katsumi snapped before glaring at Izuku, and he smirked right back at her. “Fine. You’re on, you son of a bitch.”
A single green spark rushed up the side of his face, making one of his hairs jolt up. “Don’t talk about my mom like that.”
She watched the green spark with narrowed eyes before hopping out of her desk. “This is alright with you, right, Miss Midnight?”
Midnight clapped her hands together and squealed in glee. “Oh, of course! I just love seeing my girls getting all competitive!”
Izuku turned to the rest of the class with a grin. “You know, I think you all deserve a second shot at that president title, too! So here’s my formal challenge…” He dramatically slicked back his hair. “I, Izuku Midoriya, the new foreign exchange student, challenge the class of 3A to an all out battle for the title of Class President! My opponent will be…all 14 of you!”
Instead of being met with an uproar like he’d been expecting, the entire class just went silent and stared at his sudden nerdiness, which made his cheeks redden a bit as he cleared his throat.
“W-what I’m trying to say is…since I wasn’t around for the class president battle, I want to give all of you a chance to try and take that title from me.”
“Take it from you?! The hell does that mean?!” Katsumi snapped, smoke rising out of her palm. “Bastard, you’re acting like you’ve already won the damn title from me!”
He laughed lightly before glancing back at the girls. “Well? What do you all think?”
They glanced amongst each other before Momo stood up with crossed arms. “As the class’s vice president, I can’t exactly just ignore a coup taking place right in front of me. Very well—I’ll join the fight.”
The rest of the girls slowly began murmuring their agreement—some of them were taking this seriously, some of them seemed to just want to join in on the fun and see what the new boy was capable of, while others, like Kendo, declared that this was the perfect opportunity to show him that he wasn’t welcome in their class.
All of their different responses only served to amuse him as he followed them to UA’s gym.
“An open field, huh? You sure you girls don’t want to take me on at some place with more cover, like Ground Beta?”
“Shut it! Let’s just get this over with already!” Katsumi shouted, taking a fighting stance. The other girls got in their own stances behind her, and Izuku made sure to analyze them all.
“Begin!” Midnight shouted from the sidelines.
Unsurprisingly, Katsumi immediately rushed in with her explosions…only for Izuku to jump into the air to dodge.
“Rookie move! You can’t dodge me in the air!” She launched an explosion at the ground to propel herself upwards, spiraling in what must’ve been a special move of hers.
Izuku easily dashed through the air, making her slam into the ceiling while Momo narrowed her eyes.
“His quirk lets him float and maneuver in the air however he pleases, it seems.”
“Get down here!” Kendo shouted, waving her large hands around to try and reach him as he grinned.
“Kendo, I’ve got you!” Reiko clapped her shoulder, making Kendo glow pink before she was lifted in the air from her Poltergeist quirk.
“I’m not done with you yet, either!” Katsumi launched herself off of the ceiling.
He dodged to the side again, just observing what the girls were capable of. Tsuyu’s tongue suddenly shot up and wrapped around his wrist, and Ibara followed suit with her vibes, both girls glaring at him with determination.
“Nice try!” He yanked his arms, sending both green girls flying into the air and releasing their bindings on his wrists.
“Boo!” Setsuna’s upper torso suddenly appeared behind him, but her hands were separated and attacked him from below, grabbing his ankles to try and hold him in place.
“Go, Katsumi!” Kendo grabbed Katsumi and threw her to help her change directions in midair while Katsumi powered up her explosions for a large blast, shooting straight at him with a shout.
The green glow of his quirk jolted down his right arm as he clenched his fist and narrowed his eyes at Katsumi, who was speeding towards him. “One for All: 5%...”
“Howitzer Minor!” Katsumi shouted, spiraling towards him.
“Smash!” He launched his punch right as she was upon him, sending her flying back into the floor. The air force even caught Kendo and Setsuna up in it, pushing them back as well as all three girls shouted in surprise.
“Fuck!” Katsumi gasped as she tumbled across the floor.
Momo gasped as Izuku suddenly disappeared in a green blur. “Watch out, he’s coming for—!”
Izuku crashed into the middle of the rest of the girls, creating a crater in the floor from his landing. The impact sent the girls scattering apart. Mina immediately rushed in with her acid, Jirou attempted to attack with sound waves, and Momo combined her quirk with Reiko’s telekinesis and Yui’s size-changing to launch large net bombs that she’d prepared beforehand.
Izuku smirked. “Black whip.”
Dark green tendrils shot out of his back and wrapped around all of the nearest girls, tossing them into the air and then whipping them in circles like they were caught in a tornado.
As high-pitched screams rang out, Izuku disappeared in another green flash, zooming through the air to take care of the girls held by black whip and leaving the remaining girls on the ground—Uraraka, Hagakure, Komori, and Pony—to stand back to back to back to back.
“He’s too fast for my shrooms! I can’t spray him!” Komori exclaimed.
“Making him weightless doesn’t seem like it’d do much considering he can maneuver in the air anyways…” Uraraka gritted her teeth before he dashed right in front of her, making her gasp with wide eyes.
He grinned and winked. “I promise to be gentle.”
“Gunhead Martial Arts!” She tried to grab him, but he disappeared in another green flash, leaving sparks of electricity trailing behind him.
“Ahh! My fellow foreign exchange classmate!” Pony cried out as he slammed his arm into her, swinging it in a mighty arc that caught all four girls in his powerful attack, sending all four of them flying across the room and into the far wall.
All 14 girls were scattered across the room floor, with Izuku standing in the middle, arms crossed, admiring his handiwork. Instead of finishing them off now, he waited and let them all slowly get back to their feet.
“You’re all pretty resilient, huh? I’m glad to see my class is full of true heroines!” Well, almost full of true heroines. One of you is unlike the rest. His eyes lingered on Katsumi as she scowled at him, getting in another fighting stance.
“Don’t…look down on us, you shitty Deku! You think you’re almighty and powerful just because you caught us off guard with your weird ass quirks?”
Momo had her arms around Jirou’s shoulder, with Jirou’s arm around her shoulder to help each other stand. “Yeah, it almost looked like he had multiple powers at his disposal…maneuvering in the air, his super speed and strength, and that strange black rope that he can shoot out of his body…”
“You think he could be hiding even more tricks up his sleeve?” Jirou asked.
“Doesn’t matter! There’s no way we’re letting this guy come into our class and then make fools of us, right, ladies?” Kendo rallied the class, clenching her large fist and holding it in the air. “Regroup and then attack all together! Now that we know what he’s capable of, we can counter attack!”
Izuku’s eyebrows softened a bit. It was genuinely charming watching them rally together like this! Didn’t they realize they only got this chance to breathe because he was letting them? He didn’t want to sound too cocky—not even in his own inner monologue—but he had to admit it was a little amusing.
“Komori, Momo will create capsules for your shroom spray, and Reiko can control it! If we can cover him in your spores, we’ll stand a better chance!” Kendo ordered.
“I’ll rush him head on and buy you all time to prepare. Standing around and making ‘traps’ was never my style!” Katsumi began walking towards him as the girls behind her prepared their ‘traps’.
“Miss Katsumi!” Uraraka ran up behind her. Katsumi held her hand back without even looking, and Uraraka clapped hands with her. “With the help of zero gravity…”
Katsumi smirked widely. “I can keep up with his shitty speed!”
“That’s a neat combo to maximize your speed! But I haven’t shown you everything yet!” He grinned and crouched down in a running stance, narrowing his eyes. Every movement he made during a fight, every dash and every jump…all of it was constantly being stored up for…
“Fa Jin…!” The veins in his legs glowed red, and more green electricity danced up his body.
“Time to pummel your stupid ugly face!” Katsumi launched her explosions behind her, blasting straight at him even faster than usual with her gravity removed, shooting across the room like weightless paper catapulted by her mighty explosions acting as rocket engines!
Izuku disappeared in a flash of green. In one moment, he was about to take a head on blast from her, and in the next, he was suddenly slamming a kick into her back from behind her.
“Gahhhh!” Katsumi shouted as she slammed into the corner, and he used the momentum from kicking her to fly straight towards the remaining group of girls faster than the eye could see.
“Do it now, Reiko!” Momo shouted as she and Komori finished their preparations, but it was too late. Izuku was nothing more than a blurry trail of green that ping-ponged between the girls, sending each one flying into the wall or floor when he came into contact with them.
“You demonic green fiend!” Ibara clasped her hands together and launched her thorny vines, but Izuku’s green lightning trail suddenly curved upwards towards the ceiling, followed by a kick that sent an air force blast crashing into all the girls on the floor.
“Ahhh!” They all shouted as they were blasted across the floor.
Izuku bounced off of the ceiling and once again ping-ponged from girl to girl, crashing into them as nothing more than a green blur. One after another, the girls went crashing into the floor, flying into the far walls, and some of them even got grabbed by black whip and slammed into each other.
Finally, he stood in the middle of the room once again, and black whip lashed out of his body to wrap around all 14 girls, wrapping their wrists behind their backs and binding them all to each other.
“I do believe that’s the match! Wow, I had access to your transcript, so I knew how impressive you’d be, but that was quite the one-sided brawl!” Midnight exclaimed, hopping towards him excitedly. She leaned down to grin at the girls. “As per the rules of this challenge, this means Izuku gets the title of class president, correct?”
Katsumi stared down at the floor, her teeth gritted, her face slightly red from the humiliating defeat.
Izuku’s heart raced with adrenaline. It felt nothing like the heart-racing of the crush he used to have on her—no, this was the fruits of his revenge plan taking their very first step…the sight of Katsumi so embarrassed and defeated that she looked like she might cry…
He grinned and crouched down in front of her. “You aren’t gonna go back on your word, are you?”
She refused to meet his eyes, and yet she also didn’t bother struggling against black whip. At least she knew when she’d lost.
“Hey, can’t you see this is hard enough for her as is? Just take your stupid victory, and take the stupid class president title!” Kendo snapped at him, eyes narrowed. She really was like the big sister to all these girls, which made Izuku smile despite her yelling at him.
“I wanna hear her say it, though. Just so she can’t ever say that she ‘technically never handed it over’ or anything like that! This is important for the integrity of our challenge, don’t you think? I’m not doing this just to give her a hard time or anything. Now come on, Kacch—!” He cleared his throat. “I mean, Katsumi.” He winked at her. “I believe in you~”
She finally looked up to meet his gaze. For the first time ever, his eyes were steady as he stared at her, and Katsumi looked…nervous. Hesitant. Weak.
“F-fine. Whatever. I don’t know what sort of fucked up parents you had in order to get whatever combination of quirks that you have, but…fine. You can be the class president.” She puffed her chest out to try and regain her composure. “It’s not an easy position to hold, so I bet you’ll come crawling back to me in a month begging to hand the responsibility back over to me. Don’t expect me to show you any mercy when you decide you can’t keep up with all the work.”
He laughed so hard he had to grip his stomach. He just couldn’t help it! Leave it to Katsumi Bakugou to find a way to salvage her pride, even in a situation like this! Of course, she was only setting herself up for even greater embarrassment when he proved that he was, in fact, an even better class president than she ever was, but for now, he just humored her feistiness.
She rolled her eyes. “Dunno why you’re laughing, but I swear, I’ll be the one having the last laugh! Don’t go thinking you’re better than any of us just because of this, either! Those weird ass quirks of yours caught us off guard, that’s all! You were just born lucky!”
His laughing cut off, eyes narrowing.
“I can’t believe it! You’re seriously quirkless, Yamikumo? Wow…guess you were just born unlucky!”
He clenched his fists to calm down, forcing another small smile. “Yeah. Guess so.” He stood up and smiled at Midnight, finally releasing the girls from black whip before turning to walk away back to the classroom.
“Wait!” Momo suddenly stood up, making him pause and turn to look at her as she clutched a fist to her chest. “So if you’re taking the class president role…does that mean Katsumi is being bumped down to vice president? Or, rather than bumping her down, is it just a strict replacement, where you’ll be taking her spot and…I’ll remain the vice president?”
He raised an eyebrow, glancing between Momo and Katsumi. He hadn’t considered whether he’d want to bump Katsumi down to being his vice president or if he’d prefer to keep Momo as the vice president. There were pros and cons to each.
With Katsumi as his vice president, she would have no choice but to work closely with him in planning class activities, and that level of closeness could only spell good things for his revenge plan. It would also certainly be humiliating for her to be forced to work with and directly beneath him.
On the other hand, stripping Katsumi of any authority in the class whatsoever, not even letting her be vice president, would also be humiliating for her. And that meant he got to stick close to Momo. Momo seemed like she’d be a good vice president, she’d be less of a headache to work with, and…come on, she was one of if not the sexiest girl in the entire class! Izuku would never say no to working closely with her…
Yes, indeed, there were pros and cons to both choices. As Izuku glanced between the two girls, though—both of them who would have very different dynamics with him as his vice president—he finally opened his mouth to tell them his choice.

No, it was just a random colored drink haha. And yes, Izuku vs. The Girls was supposed to be reminiscent of Mirio's debut ^^
2023-06-30 20:56:54 +0000 UTC"Even Miss Midnight was watching while sipping…some sort of weird pink drink." Are we supposed to know what that drink is? Izuku Vs The Girls remind me of Mirio Vs Class A.

2023-05-11 21:43:52 +0000 UTCWhat did Mineta do that was so bad the hero course split along gender lines and Kendo's like this? His canon antics never resulted in this. Still, great chapter!
