Ah, El Rey Network. Home of Lucha Underground, the show that combined luchador wrestling with a supernatural telenovella, featuring spacemen, cobra-women, teleporting villains, glow-in-the-dark nunchucks, and literal dragons. The actual best show ever

Sorry to disappoint. It's "The Witches" from 1990. A Wednesday pick, not a night vision horror movie

Most of her performances are pretty good, but I wasn't going to put her whole filmography here.

I'd recommend Strange Days over The Other Sister. TOS was just Oscar bait.

The Other Sister is a drama. Not gritty, but a beautiful performance.

When Ashleigh was naming off a few movies that are ahead this month when she said The Witches, did she mean The VVitch? Oh and I cannot wait (to be king, lol sorry) for Tucker & Dale vs Evil.

A couple of other thoughts:
For practical effects, I think it's hard to beat Dragonslayer (1981), a fantasy movie from Disney that was kind of a flop but is actually really good. I think people just weren't expecting a dark fantasy movie from Disney. Anyway, amazing effects.
And, at the start of *this* movie, the shirt Scott is wearing is a reference to Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) from John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing). There was a remake, but the original is better.

Tarantino wrote it, but Robert Rodriguez directed it. I can't help but feel that all the foot stuff in this was Rodriguez poking some fun at his friend.
And, a while back, Rodriguez started a TV channel of his own, El Rey. I'm not sure if it's still around. Anyway, one of the shows on the network was a series of From Dusk Till Dawn that lasted three seasons and really expanded the story and mythology. It's on Netflix now. You might like the show's version of Kate better.

Oscar Winner Juliette Lewis, and you hate the way she talks. I hope you'll see her in more, as she is BRILLIANT! Cape Fear, Natural Born Killers, The Other Sister...great options.
