2019-01-22 03:26:39 +0000 UTCEh, loud is relative. I have two Black drives in my tower and it is very quiet--never picked up on any voice chat or audible when I'm in bed. CPU fans are usually much louder than your hard drives

2019-01-22 02:28:57 +0000 UTCBare in mind though that WD blacks run at 7200 RPM, so they're fast (at least for a hard drive), but they're also quite loud. I personally use reds for my storage, though I do have a black with games on it.
