2024-08-15 15:18:24 +0000 UTCidk if its the inspiration, but im pretty sure 'cabbage' is supposed to be a different pronunciation for 'garbage' in a similar way that italian-americans in new jersey pronounce the word for the italian cured pork deli meat "gabagool" instead of how they pronounce it in italy "capacola" vowels and consonants shift over time and place.
