I'm guessing that there's was an implied pronoun in the sentence "Any bludgeoning damage dealt by [it] is slashing damage instead, and its weapon attacks deal an additional 1d10 slashing damage." I can totally see using this to slide under a door and slash an enemy's feet on the other side.
