MEDICAL GUIDANCE IF YOU HAVE INFO
Added 2023-12-15 02:21:32 +0000 UTCMEDICAL TRAUMA WARNING-
I am looking to see if anyone has information on how to care for a body after work was done for a prolonged amount of time to someone for "coding".
My sternum is black and purple from at the work they did to me after coding.
I can't lift my arms, breath deep, or even fully stand due to the pain in my chest that is from the result of work done once I coded. I was out for so so long and was in a paralysis/coma like state but could feel everything they were doing to me. I could feel the entire time and could hear. I collapsed in a doctors office then stayed in hospital. My vitals crashed, I was non responsive, etc.
I am so traumatized from feeling everything they did to me and suffocating.
I am in level 10 pain unable to move due to my chest right now. Please help, I can't even put a heating pad on my chest it's so swollen and black/purple. Do you have any guidance on how to manage.
I have EDS which makes this all so much worse

Hey I know I’m late to the post but I come from a medical family and I am a cardiac care Occupational Therapist. First and foremost I love your videos! Now my mom was an intensive care nurse and she would tell me stories from work all the time. Unfortunately when someone codes the main goal (unless they have a DNR order) is resuscitation by any means medically possible. And so they have to move fast and aggressively to bring someone back. I’ve had several patients tell that it feels like they were hit by a Mac truck. So from what you described everything you’re feeling is very normal and you are valid. Unfortunately because of your medical history it may take you longer to recover but it should get better. Hopefully you’re feeling a bit better already!!
