3-year review

This June, it will be 3 years since I published my first compilation on shontai.com.

I created this site with the idea in mind of replacing my full-time job with this activity, but I have to admit that after 287 published videos, I haven't succeeded. πŸ˜”

The site has paid for itself, and is no longer costing me money, thanks to you. I sincerely thank you.

But unfortunately, editing takes up the overwhelming majority of my free time, and the money Shontai generates for me is not worth the time I invest in it.

So I've made the difficult decision to stop this patreon or drastically reduce my video production (I haven't made up my mind yet), and start new entrepreneurial adventures.

I assure you, I'm going to honor all the promises I've made, by providing you with all the compilations I've committed to (including the winner of the last poll: Kill la kill).

I've been really happy to share my passion for fanservice with you, but I have to face the facts that it's not something that's sustainable for my mental health and social life.

I hope you'll understand my decision.

Hi HD :) My goal was to have 400 subscribers after 3 years of activity But to be transparent, I'm thinking of opting for the strategy of continuing, but significantly reducing my publication rate

Shontai

How much monthly subscription do you need to keep doing this?

HD

I honestly don't know. I try to keep up the rhythm of one video every 3-4 days. One video = one girl, and I don't know how many girls there'll be in the next animes to come.

Shontai

how long do u think it will take u get be done all the posts

Chris Watson

I'll definitely do! Thanks for all your efforts and wish you good luck.

Alex

Thank you Alex :) As I said in my post, I don't know yet if I'm going to stop. After publishing the One Piece video's compilations, I will see if I'm making enough money, or if I see a nice progression curve. If that's the case, I'll continue with the compilations, if not, I'll stop. So I invite you to talk about shontai.com to people who might be interested on forums, discords and so on. To keep shontai.com going :)

Shontai

You deserve a very good rest. I'm going to be selfish here, but I really hope you can finish Mieruko-chan compilation before you leave :'(

Alex

Thank you Stephen, I'll do my best for One Piece πŸ˜‰

Shontai

Sorry to hear it but you gotta take care of yourself :(. Thx for the vids. Really stoked about the One Piece comp, there isn't anything out there like that atm

Stephen

Thank you Mesasa πŸ™

You're very welcome ❀️

Thank you very much. It's messages like these that have kept me going for so long, so thanks again. πŸ™

Should you somehow return, do tell and we can check what we can to give it more spotlight to capture more peeps! Take care and rest when you can; God knows you need it (it always amazed me how you made so much content in the span of a month)

I completely understand your decision even though it's unfortunate that your compilations will come to an end but I'm happy to have supported your patreon I'm happy to have stumbled onto your page because I happened to search aqua's butt from konosuba and found a fanservice compilation. But really though I appreciate your hard work and effort on these fanservice videos

Keyawn

Thank you for your message, it touches me sincerely. And you're right, the site's problem was mainly a marketing one. Whenever I had free time, I devoted it to video editing or photoshop. Maybe I should have done less publishing and more marketing, I don't know. But once again, thank you for your message πŸ™

Shontai

Should you believe a bit in what could have been lacking, marketing or making Shontai known could have been an issue, I could not find it until I somehow found a vid that said it was available in patreon and only then and there I hurriedly came to support the project because I liked the concept

R. Joss

I do understand, it is sad since I really enjoyed finally having a place where fanservice compilations would be available, but if it is not enough then it is what it is. I wholeheartedly thank you for all your work and taking the risk in this amazing project! πŸ₯Ή
