I Feel You Linger In The Air - Episode 5 Reaction

These little events seems like echoes of time... I think something like this happened on The Flash (series) some years ago. I am interested to see how it will, merge, or play out. My only question: Are the workers slaves or paid servants? What?

PaleoWild

Maybe the house is a portal between the past and the future, which would answer the supernatural events but does not explain why this is happening with Jom, besides the fact that he is renovating the house there is no other connection

Renato Alves

Nope, that’s not the case. Neither Jom nor Yai dies…well, not other than old age. There’s just this “magical” event or entity that brought, and had brought Jom to past era with him not fully remembering. 😊

Ryan B

No worries, he didn’t die. The only bad things that happened is him suddenly leaving the era…both of the 2 generations of Yai. 😊

I can't wait to see jealousy Khun Yai in next episode, it will be the most adorable thing in this show 😂

For a little explanation: Red in asian culture, even more in chinese heavy-influanced culture as Lan Na where our story is set, is an auspicious colour, a sacred one. By wearing a red dress, one wife symbolically declares herself ''wifer'' than the other wife. You get what I mean ? The rest ? I am in awe with the directing and cinematography for now, it is a masterpiece of cinema. Acting, music, story... It's becoming difficult to find a weakness. Poor Jom, randomnized by the gods as a problem-magnet. But he made a great mistake: he is judging 1920 by using 2023 standards morals, which is a childish mindset. Prik cannot leave her service without Khun Ying consent, that would be unlawful. A servant is at the disposition of his-her master. Here KhunYing would probably said yes to Prik but in the middle of the night that could have been seen as inapropriate. You wake up your master because it would concern the master, not because it would concern you, the servant. Jom took for granted Khun Ying, that was a huge mistake from a servant. Thus they should be punished both. It is logical in this mindset but horrible for 2023 mindset. Well, you know ? Duty before heart. Javi, how do you know Prik will coming back ? She may left forever. 2023 If you get a issue and left, you will come nack because of attachment to relation, house, job, etc... in 1920, under those rules you see, you left and may flee away. Here an exemple, a slave from a plantation may ask to left to bury some relative. Do you think this slave is going to come back to the plantation or took the underground railroad ? To understand Khun Yai parents you have to switch mindset. So here, despite Prik lies, the father agreed to let Prik attend her mother's funeral, which is merciful indeed from his part. He was in the right to not let her do so as his master. Here a wild prediction. Jom dies and haunt the house. Khun Yai through despair commit suicide and become a ghost. Ghost loves ghost. Eternal ghost love.

I think maybe something tragic happened and Jom is out here haunting his whole self. Can’t wait for the pieces to fall into place. Also for TWO confessions next ep 😮 😱 🎉 💃🏾

It's not the drawing but Jom himself. 😊 He's actually been in a different era way before the era of the current Khun Yai of the 1920's. The era that started it all, the ancient time, the era of the one who saved Jom in the river (episode1) 😊

Ryan B

Every time the past/present him come together it's when he's drawing, i guess everything is conected to the drawings because he saw them in the present time and was something that he did in the past... maybe it's the link to both worlds or something like that, idk my mind is going crazy with this plot hahaha

I actually love how Mr. James does for Jom and Khun Yai. He's going to be the catalyst, and as what Javi mentioned, Khun Yai is gonna step up his game knowing the competition is indeed competing. This will also show his childish behavior in dealing with the situation. They're indeep speeding up the timelines without significantly changing the entire flow. As always, I just can't get over Khun Yai's language and tone...the traditional and formal Thai. Music to my ears "Poh Jom khong chan.." . ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ryan B

I truly feel that this was the best episode yet. The whole slow burn between Yai and Jom is magnetic, the situation of the servants being portrayed is more than necessary and the plots of all the characters are becoming more interesting to see. Can’t wait for jealous Khun Yai next week.

Renato Alves

Always looking forward to your reaction especially for this masterpiece of a series ❤️❤️❤️
