Upon rewatching parts of the show, I realized that Chen Yi, when he had AiDi in his arms and said to Rui that about love and admiration and asked Rui if he were trying to remind himself … well I realized that Rui’s fear was that the 17 year old was confusing love with admiration. Something that was said later on made me realize this

It gives some history into the character Wayne plays and also one our leads and gives more explanation about what has happened. I’m not sure everyone knew about it. I saw the whole series and stumbled across it quite accidentally while looking for merchandise. IQIYI didn’t have the special episode. I’m very glad I saw it though
