Yes, I agree. I meant more in the sense that actors who don’t really come out but also don’t deflect rumors, benefit from the current shipping system and also don’t miss out on other roles. These industries will always be detrimental to those who come out or are “obvious” unfortunately.

2025-05-12 23:10:01 +0000 UTCActually, there are a few actors who already confirmed that it's very hard for them to get different kind of roles (or roles in general), just because they're openly LGBTQ+. Companies don't even hire them because of it. So it's true that homophobia is still extremely present in the Thai entertainment industry. They want their ships to make money but they don't want them to be gay in reality. There are some companies that don't care about it, but sadly that's the minority. It's always hard to hear actors talk about it. About how much they struggle and about the way some people from companies talk to them.

Again, I was hoping the series would deal with some of the "problem behaviors" the original work dropped on it's audience, instead of glossing over it, but hey... I guess some fans wanted and appreciates those questionable things. Oh god... the next episode is the one I argue with my coworkers and friends with about the most! SMH
