It was called Religious Joy, the moment a religious girl ascends to heaven. But there's no joy in her, there's sadness, her wings are not spread in flight, she didn't own her life and she doesn't own her death, she is a victim of a harmful ideal. It's a metaphor for the situation the guys are in, they are accepting a subbar existence, just like the girl who by being good erased herself (sexually as well, that's what good girls do, because yes, that's totally depicting female anatomy). They saw themselves in the sculpture and it awakend their desire to change their own circumstances.
