Hi everyone!

As some of you know from a post I made in the community chat a few weeks ago. I had a small cyst/mass removed from the back of my head via surgery, mostly as an aesthetic issue that was bothering me.

However, the doctor had sent the mass for futher research and yesterday I received a call that the results of the cyst had been received and that they would like to see me. I live an hour away from the hospital, so I had my suspicions that it was not good news. Lo and behold, I have a rare type of skin cancer that isn’t researched or known much about other than that my white blood cells attack my skin, therefore causing some lesions.

Luckily, I’ve been referred to a cancer institute to undergo radiation and a thorough evaluation. They say the 5-year survival rate is over 95%, which is great, so I have high hopes that this will be resolved soon enough.

Just thought I’d vent a little on here and let ya’ll know what’s been happening. It’s a little scary, but I’m sure it’ll all turn out okay.
