I changed the overall tone of the photo by adding a purple wash over the photo and changing the layer to an overlay type.
I retouched my skin like normal and changed my skin tone to be more grey using the hue and saturation tool. I also changed the wig color and my eye color the same way.
I used an inverted layer to create the glow effects around the hands and added a ring of shadow around the inside and a ring of while/glow around the outside.
I also darkened the edges of the photo.
