IMPORTANT Updates, BIG NEWS & a short chat

Just to keep you all in the know. Aloy should be finished soon! I just have to make the bow & arrows and add some minor details. Kiki is also ready to go. I just don't know when I can photograph them due to the current situation :( Kiki I can probably get some cute photos of in the orchard near my house (I walk there regularly with my dogs so it should be okay). But Aloy probably won't be till later in the year. I don't really wanna do an at-home shoot with her. I had a location down in LA in mind and am set on something like that >< I want the photos to look cool and I just don't think any amount of photoshopping a green screen will do it justice.

Besides that I have Audie in the works! :) And should be fine shooting her somewhere around my home. Although shipping the fabric & wigs seems like it'll take until June to be ready .-. Same with my Kimono Todoroki. That's actually not even expected to arrive until June and I haven't even ordered the wig yet! Once I have that it'll be ready to go though. I'm just waiting to order the wig after the next Patreon payout b/c it's kind of expensive for what it is and I'm sure a lot of ya'll understand the money struggles atm ;^^

After that I have the stuff to make an Ariel & Arcade Qiyana cosplay! Pretty sure I have everything I need for both except a few LED related things for Qiyana. Seeing how things go I'll probably finish up my 2B & Kairi cosplay (just need the props) and finally make the Wendy & Miquote Lightning cosplay (I believe I have the materials for both those as well). I'm really itchy to work on an Armor set to I just can't settle on what yet :T I'm learning towards the Rathalos armor set from Monster Hunter though. Or maybe another Overwatch character (like Shield Maiden Brigitte or Forest Orisa). Also really want to get that Warlock Ashe made but I didn't manage to get any materials for her before shut downs, so we'll see when I can get around to that >< Hopefully in time for Halloween! That's my goal.

Qiyana could have photos taken at my home :) So once that's done I can get photos. Ariel is one I want to do at a beach though. And while it's honestly oh so tempting to try and take photos at an empty beach I definitely won't xD I want to follow the rules and also that's a very long drive--I'd rather wait till I'm in LA and taking photos of Aloy too. I think I can find a place for Lightning nearby and Wendy I can probably just shoot at home or again, near by. I'm in a small town with parks/walking paths that are ALWAYS very empty some that are in my neighborhood so it should be okay? It's places I walk my dog regularly..? 2B and Kairi should also be easy to get photos of. I'm not sure about Todoroki though. Still trying to think of a location. I think I want a garden since it's a kimono-type garment? But I honestly don't know. Feel free to pitch ideas! xD

Sorry if progress has been slow! It's been hard to stay motivated knowing that a lot of these costumes will just sit around for quite some time before I'm able to shoot them and knowing that I probably won't have any cons to attend with them this year (that usually my main motivation). But I'm trying! Tbh I've been mostly motivated about doing digital stuff--like editing photos, videos and revamping patterns & their listing descriptions. However, there obviously hasn't been much of that posted the past few days and that's b/c I went on a hardcore cleaning frenzy of my work space xD It's ALMOST done (it's taken a week lol). But I'll make a lil tour video of my all-over-the-place set up. Hopefully it'll help some of you figure out how to work with a very small space if that's all you have (like me!). I'm also working on a cute DIY video for how to make the rugs in Animal Crossing (it SHOULD be up next week). I'm pausing cosplay progress to get this done in the next few days! I think it'll make for a fun cheap project that's non-cosplay related for anyone who's bored during quarantine. Hopefully you're all excited for that too. I'll be giving the templates for those rugs out on here (I plan to make a template of a lot of the rugs--even ones I don't make for the video xD)...as a BONUS! They won't replace an actual cosplay template ;^^

ALSO! I'm investing in a 3D printer next month! SO start expecting new content around that :3 I'll, of course, share any 3D models I make here on Patreon. It'll be apart of the templates/patterns package HOWEVER it'll not replace those. I know most people don't own a 3D printer and may not want to. My paper patterns for foam and such will still be monthly, any 3D models will just be a random bonus sometimes. This won't even come about for a while anyways ;^^ I wanna first learn the ropes of working a 3D printer before I jump into learning to model.
