You see those lovely trees and flowers growing and thriving outside? Please note that this is diametrically opposed to what’s happening to my hair as I prepare for my first convention in well over a year.

I could go into details here, but as this is a visually-oriented Patreon, let me explain it with a single image:

The good news is that having already put myself through the gauntlet of leaving everything to the last minute in previous editions, this year I started early - and despite the printer’s best efforts to make me go full Office Space on it, I have successfully managed to get most of my stock ready by now.

This should mean - and let’s not speak too loudly lest karma hears us - that May should proceed relatively smoothly. Or at least until I spend 3 days pinned behind a stall wishing I’d requested a catheter.

And now for the “what is what”:

Illustrated rewards will remain closed this month. The next opening will be either June or July, depending on how this month goes. Please keep an eye on these updates, as well as the Discord, to be notified when that happens.

The Artbook is back in stock!

Additionally, the cost of the book has been lowered from 100 to 75 points - as it has now been out for a while and I’m already preparing to make a second one. Also, you may now purchase more than one copy (up to 5 per person).

The cost of the Mystery Bundle has been lowered from 75 to 50 points. This is a bundle featuring 3 regular prints and 3 small prints, randomly selected.

From June, there will also be new bookmark options, as well as potential changes/additions to existing bundles.

Also please note that all pending merch purchases have been printed and prepared and will be sent after the convention is over (mainly, because I have no space left in my office to handle packaging. I’m pretty much writing this under my desk at the moment). Thank you for your patience and please look forward to it!

Please note that you can’t subscribe to my Patreon via the app - only via web browser (which you can open on desktop or your device). This is due to a move by Patreon/Apple blocking out transactions for anyone who doesn’t use Subscription Billing (ie, this Patreon uses “First of the Month” due to how the points system works).

Although there have been some updates regarding the forced move of all creators to subscription billing (more on this in next month’s update), those of us who haven’t switched to it are permanently barred from receiving any income from it- with our app pages only offering view-mode.

In closing

First of all, if you’re going to MCM Comic Con in London this month (23rd to 25th of May) make sure you stop by and say hi! I always have freebies under the table for patrons. Or snacks, whichever you prefer.

Secondly, although I’ve been a little quieter than usual - both on here and Discord - I’ve been extremely focused and consistently working through The List.

Admittedly, part of that quietness comes down to working on very intense pieces back to back, so once the convention is over I plan to shift gears a little towards simpler fare just to get things moving a little steadier.
