Update // Rolling in the Heat

Welcome all to the update in which, as per tradition, I remind you that we’re past the halfway point of the year so those of you who’ve somehow resisted evaporating in the recent heat waves can now pick a side: those who rejoice at the prospect of not marinating in their own bodily fluids and those who are already mourning because their emotional stability runs on solar power.

You can only pick one, so choose wisely.

[ StarStickers ]

Illustrated rewards will be opening between July 8th and July 11th. Praise be!

Additionally, a few clarifications based on recent queries in the Discord:

As always, feel free to DM, comment, or drop a note in #starstickers (Discord) with any questions—I’m always happy to help.

Also note that for the last few months I’ve been saying you can’t subscribe to my Patreon via the app. Recently I realised this was only partially true, as you can subscribe via Android apps but not iOS.

So with that minor correction in mind, if you own an iPhone and wish to support my art please make sure you do it via the website. Thank you!

[ In closing ]

So, you may have felt that things were a little quieter on my end last month- be it here, social media or Discord. While much of that had to do with my ongoing work on an exciting book-related NDA project I can’t wait to share more on, the honest truth is that June ended up being unexpectedly tough, mostly due to an unusually slow and difficult Covid recovery.

Having gone through it several times before, it’s hard to say why this round has been so much harder to bounce back from. The fatigue, muscle aches and persistent brain fog have been so intense it’s forced me to seek medical intervention while also triaging what to spend my energy on and so to that end, I chose to focus on drawing and teaching while taking a step back from being as present online.

I know that these days being seen on social media is pretty much equated with the amount of work that’s being done, so I suppose the reason I’m saying this is to reassure you all that I’m still very much at the wheel - just taking a more scenic route for the time being.

That said, I’ve got my fingers crossed that this won’t last forever and in the meantime, if you’ve got any advice, thoughts, comments or maybe something to share about what’s going on in your life, I’d love to hear it!
