Encounter of the month: Current theme Myths and Monsters

Hey guys! It is time for the long overdue second monster poll for our current theme: Myths and Monsters of the ruins. This is our second entry where the contestants from last time along with a newcomer battle to make it into the game alongside the fools tulip! Our final poll will take place at the end of the month where the two losing contestants will battle it out against another newcomer to make it into the game where afterwards we will hold a poll to decide the next theme which can be suggested by patreon’s in the barkeeper tier or above! Sadly we could not get a free artist to give an illustration of our new contestant the tar lurker, so their description will have to do for them I’m afraid.

Option 1 Jean Claude: A strange figure who stumbled into the ruins a few months prior whom the residents have taken to calling Jean Claude. Jean wears clothing which resembles an old pre crisis mime suit but that is where the physical similarities end as Jean is by no means human. They tower over almost everyone in the ruins, coming in at an alarming 9 feet, what was thought to be makeup appears to actually be their skin and they lack any form of facial orifice apart from when it comes to consuming prey. The figure has been shown to be hostile though it usually preys on lone travelers in the evening. Despite seeming to be unarmed witnesses describe the figure being able to inflict wounds and ensnare people usually with weapons that don't appear to even exist...

Option 2 The Shadow Man: People in the ruins seldom go out after dark, this is not due to a fear of the darkness itself but rather any artificial light that might shine inside it. That is because stories of a terrifying figure who seems to be a shadow without an owner prowls in these artificial light sources and is rumored to absorb those it catches into itself. It cannot exist in sunlight or total darkness which is why many believe it is somehow connected to electricity in some respect. The figure also seems to possess uncanny intellect and from stories told, enjoys tormenting those it stalks…

Option 3 Tar lurker: Navigating the ruins is a difficult task but there does exist an easy shortcut between the black market headquarters and the ruins settlement yet it is only used in the coldest of winter months… The path involves navigating through walkways between pools of thick and gooey tar like liquid which lays dormant in the colder months but as it becomes hotter this liquid begins to move in lifelike ways… Once active this sentient liquid searches for potential prey to join its mass, resembling a large almost human like form in shape. The creature is filled with debris and bones of people too slow or unaware of the danger of taking the shortcut during a heatwave…
