Vivace Rebirth v0.07

So for years I’ve been Modding. In April of last year I released my first serious mod and I’ve been slowly progressing it. I consider the jbeam portion of my modding phase 1. I’m currently in Phase 2 and here’s a look at what I’ve done. I’m open to feedback and criticism!

My goal is to make the car sound and feel exactly how it is supposed to.

- The Hybrid turbo is in the stock location but it is noticeably larger (62/62). I gave it a pretty good powerband for what it is. It’s capable of 40 PSI. It has custom sounds so it is distinguishable from any other turbo.

- The Top Mount Full Frame Turbo is a major upgrade. There are 2 options currently and more are being developed. An 82/74, and 72/74 they have A LOT of head room for top end horsepower while not compromising mid range torque. It’s capable of 30 PSI and you hear and feel every pound of power.

- I’ve made a custom exhaust system to compliment the Top mounts and I’d advise using it for immersing yourself in the full effect of the turbo and everything it comes with.

-So the Vivace has different drive modes and slot types to go with them, I did away with that because it’s confusing asf so I hard set them to 4 settings.

• DriveModes (Tame, Wild, Rabid, and Rabid+)

-Tame: Cars exhaust is noticeably quieter and has a boost reduction factor of 6 psi (whatever your boost level is set to, take away 6 psi and that’s how you’re driving it in this setting. Retains all the nannies (abs, traction, stability). The idea was to get the car to feel more controlled for everyday driving.

-Wild: This setting is Full power, nothing is being pulled it’s just raw power with all the nannies. No changes to exhaust Noises so you can hear it purrrr.

-Rabid: This setting is for when you want to give the car a jump in power of an extra 6PSI and slightly reduce stability by cutting off traction control. It’s designed to almost be a “Scramble” setting. Is extremely useful when you misjudged the car next to you and need some extra power to win the race.

-Rabid+: Does the same exact thing as “Rabid” but all the nannies are cut off and it’s completely up to you to keep thr car from hitting a tree. Good luck.

•BarTec SCTE Ecu: This is my favorite part because this is where the magic happens.

-SCTE(Software Controlled Turbine Efficiency): Which means I can control the powerband of ANY TURBO attached to it with the software in the ECU. I do this because I’ve seen massive gains over anything else tuning wise using my ruining methods. This is useful because I can push a stock turbo to its mechanical limit while still making power all the way to redline. Trust me once you have it you’ll never go back.

Fuel Type: The ability to switch between Fuel types is always beneficial. Especially when one (E85) has a 30% power gain that is fully tuned in to the ecu. Who knew 🌽 would be so effective? It also comes at a cost, you burn 30% more fuel as well but it’s fine, Smiles per gallon is the name of the game. There is also an option for Gasoline in case E85 isn’t available in your area. I’m working to develop new fuel types to push the platform even further.

-Turbo Style: This allows you to let the ECU know what type of turbo you are running and it makes the adjustments to the SCTE map to give you power based on your chosen turbo. Extremely interesting feature, I’ll further develop this to do many more things in the future. As it stands this is how it works

•Stock/Hybrid: your running either a Stock or Hybrid (Stock location) turbo. This gives you a pretty Aggressive powerband by delaying the spool and efficiency to shift the powerband back resulting in harder boost hits and more overall power. Some would say that it’s “Laggy” but until you drive it you won’t understand how the software manipulates the turbo to produce insane power while having excellent drivability.

•Top Mount: A full frame turbo SCTE to really let that big ole snail get the hawk’tua on whatever you’re racing because let’s be honest, you didn’t do a full frame for gas mileage. With these turbos the boost ramp is aggressive to mitigate lag while sending the power steadily and without limit.

- Before I got to this point with the physical modeling I had already made a custom engine and many custom parts to go with it via the jbeam files. If you aren’t familiar with the mod I welcome you to give it a test drive before the next update so you can get to know my work, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
