The subsequent decision. How the game should develop?

While programming the game, I constantly wonder if the game I envision matches the audience's desires. I can create several genres from my current game dev skills, such as platformers, simulations, survival, and Unreal visual novels.

But not FPS, RTS, VR, AR, or mobile games at my current proficiency. These genres involve depth and intricate program knowledge, and I'm not good enough to handle them atm, especially regarding some mid-level AI.

So, I'm opening an open chat post to hear your preference before proceeding with the development.

I originally intended to create a sandbox game with visual novel and simulation elements. In this game, the player can explore the college and town to have some pleasant times with ladies while paying back debt to save his roommates.

But I can also make a survival sandbox like Ur..., having a Heroine got lost in a... worms..., or zombie infested world, or space station for god knows what reason; I assume you have gotten the idea how this type of game usually works, is usually pretty XXXX up.
Anyway, I want to hear your thoughts first before I overthink. Meanwhile, I'll make the next chapter of SCP1471 and pay close attention to the post.
