Progress update. 7/31

I know many of you are looking forward to the next game update, as am I! While I initially aimed to release it sooner, I’ll need about one more week (give or take) to finish up the remaining tasks. Thanks so much for your patience—it really helps!
Here’s what’s been done so far:
The skin, hair, and model for the childhood friend are now complete! She now looks just as charming as in the teaser image reels. I hope her new appearance resonates with you just right.
The interaction dialogues for both the childhood friend and SCP-1471 are finished.
The scene dialogues for the Prologue (where the player returns from his Aunt's farm during summer vacation) and the Childhood Friend’s Confession (about her transition from boy to girl) are also done.
What’s still in progress:
Writing sex scene dialogue for both the childhood friend and SCP-1471.
Implementing two key story scenes:
The Prologue, where the player returns from summer vacation, he was away from the town, working as a farmhand for his Aunt.
The Childhood Friend’s Confession, which touches on her transition from boy to girl.
Public Hair implementation.
Hip Size scalar.
The workload’s growing—but so is the progress. Every task ticked off brings us closer to a richer experience!

Hey! Thanks a ton for the feedback on Reefan’s character design and your kind words about the dev work. It really means a lot because game development is all about integrating a bunch of different elements into one cohesive experience. The effort and study behind it often go unseen since most of it isn’t visual, so I really appreciate you noticing. About your feedback: I’m glad you noticed her relatively gentle eyes compared to other dragonese. Originally, I was layering a lot of reverent, dragon-like traits on her—but a sharper, more regal face felt more fitting for a mentor or boss character, not a gamer girl you’ve grown up with. As for the messy hair, I wanted her design to feel relaxed and unbothered, something you'd expect from someone who’s not big on appearances. Her arc as a gamer girl gives her that habit of not paying much attention to how she looks… until she catches feelings for the player. The water dragon background also points toward a long, flowy hairstyle. I get that this style might not be for everyone, though—which reminds me, I really should add a feature that lets players buy new hairstyles for NPCs. Also, I have to admit— I laughed way too hard scripting the bit about naming the mount after a friend. It brought back memories of playing Monster Hunter, though to be honest, I always felt more like the Palico tagging along than the actual hunter. Regarding the pacing of her confession scene: yeah, I hear you. I'd love to have more time one day to expand the story with smoother transitions—like her getting jealous when the player flirts with other NPCs or MCs (before the player even realizes she’s changed gender). That’d add a lot more depth to her arc. As for the breast size progression, changing it from 0.1 to 0.5 is totally doable. For this version, I’ll try 0.25—if it still feels too subtle, we can push it to 0.5 in the next build. Now about the hormone pill topic: I agree that a more natural-sounding alternative, like “deep sea kelp,” fits better than rewriting the whole system. But before revision, I'd like to know about adding a new conversation instead. Let me know what you think of this idea: Player: Hey, why do you need a hormone pill to change your gender? Can’t you just… use your willpower? Reefan: I wish it were that easy. It’d save me so much trouble. We can change gender, but we don’t get to pick—we just shift the balance. Reefan: And after living with my mom all my life, I ended up completely male. Player: So now that you’re female… does that mean your mom will turn into your dad? Reefan: Probably. 2025-08-25 06:05:28 +0000 UTCHi there, first time posting on Patreon but considering recent events I am getting more involved in the NSFW game/art parts of my interests. Firstly, good game model so far, I am designing a game and, in the learning, /storyboarding bits myself. I have gained a new respect for game coding because it's a real kick in the rear getting things to talk most times, so in its current state, very well done. On the new childhood friend story, I would like to give some feedback on it, some hoping on my part for slight adjustments on my end, but mostly just feedback. 1. Character design, I love the design, as a native dragon lover myself the markings are great, the proportions are both hot yet reasonable, and the face is adorable, I love good eyes, and this one has a very good made set of eyes and face movement. the hair is a little hit and miss, not sure really on the colour but it's a flair so it’s still good. 2. Interactions, I absolutely love the whole gamer girl vibe she gives, and it is so funny yet cute the types of interactions, the little naming of game things after your mate is a good addition and adds a little sexual tension to the meanings of what is given the names with the new sex context, good job there. I would add a middle interaction rather than straight to confessing, something more like a thing in the park together or shop, something that could hint at a jealous side to them hinting at the romantic interest before the big “I want you” reveal. just so it isn't so sudden as the flirting is more horny teen vibes than actual admitting interest is becoming mutual. 3. The transition. This part took me for a bit of a ride. at first, I took it as both being kids there wasn't any feminine features yet, been there seen that story. but then it was a transition, and it was interesting but also left an odd taste in the mouth, I'll admit I was scared it was modern gaming tropes creeping in but I happy to say it isn't. but the big hanging point for me was the mention o0f hormone pills. it came across as too, real. it took the mythical part out of the character and just felt wrong. the biology part aside made the whole interest in breeding potential but that was answered so that is interesting. My only real suggestions would be to: A. increase the breast and hip sizes to be more in line with the images above. not full lock to the right big but above middle or 2/3 slide sort of range, or as a whole other addition, I would increase the breast increase from the intimate skill going up to be much more, like .5 rather than .1 or something, there really isn't a noticeable size increase so tweaking that would help make that skill more fun to skill up, and offer it as an option for people who want to increase bust sizes on charecters. B. I would personally replace the whole "hormone pill" line with something like "Deep-sea Kelp", something more natural and would help build on the reason the OC asks the deep diving questions later, would lean more into the biology of the creature than it being medical intervention. and would give more natural flow to the talking topic the OC talks about following the reveal. it was the pill part that made the middle section of the character a bit of a bumpy ride, and as seen in other comments it can lose interest with the too close to home feel. something with minimal word changes so the talks don't need rewriting as again, you got enough on. Keep up the good work I am subscribed now and depending on update pacing/content additions I might even up the sub type. I find this to be a really fun project and I am watching this one with very high hopes. Best regards.

2025-08-24 23:30:39 +0000 UTCYes, you're absolutely right! Clownfish are a perfect example—males can naturally switch to female to balance their social structure, no pills needed. So a water dragon being able to shift genders at will really isn't that far-fetched. Though at this point, it's probably a bit late to change the script from requiring hormone pills to something more instinctual.

2025-08-02 09:21:16 +0000 UTCI can't really call this a fantasy trait as there are a specific few sea creatures who can do exactly this in reallife in lieu of having enough male or female members but if i recall its a biology thing they can do inately instead of requiring hormone difeffering medicine. So this idea of yours really isn't that far out there for a type of mythical sea based race.
