Our story continues the morning after the Grand Duke’s dinner party. Thorne wakes from a bad dream and quickly learns the cost for underestimating Carver- her humanity, her freedom, and of course, Max. The Grand Duke rules with an iron first, he does not tolerate defiance or deceit. With the aid of his loyal Peacekeepers, he intends to make that perfectly clear to both his new thrall and his long lost pup.
