Close your PayPal Account: Part 2

I had an anxiety attack at work over this event today and left to go to the bank with my dad for support because i was so freaking out. Bank told us to file a police report which i couldn't believe I hadn't done. I was still getting emails from Paypal insisting the transaction was mine due to the IP address used and ignoring all other factors. I yelled at them. all caps- listen to what I am saying, actually address this, escalate this now.

We got a police report, printed out relevant emails and stuff, got to the bank- and PayPal had alerted me that they changed the report to another reason- Did not recieve item or service.

This re-opened the dispute and showed me progress on it. It asked for more info- I sent pictures of the police report. The bank put the police report in the investigation on their end.

Not 2 hours later, I got an aelrt from my bank- the original transaction with "Reversal" on the end. PayPal has still not updated their dispute, so best I can guess is the bank managed to get the seller on the line and the seller got spooked by the police report and just went through with reversing the transaction.

The PayPal balance part of it- WHICH, BY THE WAY, IS MONEY YOU GUYS HERE HAVE PAID ME, SO GET PISSED ABOUT THAT- has not been refunded just yet. I do not know if it will be.

PayPal was completely worthless. It's only been a day and not even a half- but it was an ordeal, and PayPal was completely worthless the entire time.

From immediate closure of my dispute (automated), to an AI Generated chat bot (which declares itself to be generative AI), to an AI phone answering system, to PRESUMABLY automated "nope we see no issues here" responses to my appeal claims (all with a unique name signed at the end, indicating it wasn't going to one person repeatedlybut random people presumably not reading the entire email chain), to the dispute center BLOCKING the dispute option you've tried if they declare it not a problem so you CANNOT DISPUTE IN THE SAME WAY AGAIN, to their chat agents and chatbots and emails all telling me to click appeal buttons THAT DO NOT EXIST on the site...PayPal was completely worthless.

I do not have an alternative to suggest. But FUCK paypal.
