EA for example decided that water activities should be named 3 different ways-
Do Water Activities
Dive in the ocean
Enjoy Water Slides
Use Diving Board
So you've got multiple activities spread around the list because they each format a different way. Why not change these to simply what they actually are, instead of descriptions of how the thing is done? "Enjoy" is particularly egregious.
I've gone through multiple activities and change their names to begin with a category designation instead. The above are now all found under "Water:".
Enjoy The Outdoors is now Outdoors: Physical Activity and Outdoor Recreation is now Outdoors: Recreation. These are weird, they basically overlap entirely, but one has a few more "physical fitness" skills, so I renamed it to Physical Activity and put both next to each other.
[Season] Activities -> Seasonal: [Season]
Anything that started with "Go", "Do", or "Use" -> Now just the name of the thing (i.e. Go Bowling is now just Bowling)
Occult Abilities are now "Occult:"
Spa Activities now start with "Wellness"
Things like "Grab Quick Snacks" or "Have Breakfast" are now all "Eat" instead
Snowboarding, Skiing, and Sledding all now begin with "Komorebi". Rock Climbing includes the Fitness Stuff climbing wall, but this makes it clear you can use this for Off-Lot climbing on a venue in Komorebi.
"Play" activities are still "Play"
"Play [Instrument]" activities are now "Instruments:"
Produce Music Track is now "Instrument: Mixing Station"
This is a "String Table" Override. That means it adjusts the text only- it'll be compatible with mods that change these activities as long as they don't change their names. It also means if your game isn't in English, these adjusted activities will display their changes in English.
This will obviously not affect new activities from mods. It is possible to create string overrides for them to make them "compatible" with this organization but I do not have any in mind at the moment to do that. If I were to update the mod to add modded ones, the format would include the creator name at the end of the name too and it'd get cluttered...
