Patch .19 Now Live! New relationship/corruption system.

Hello everyone! Here we are with a new update for Crossworlds! We have been discussing this in our Discord for the past months about reworking the current game systems, especially related to MC/corruption and the relationship system. 

First things first, this will require a new save. We aren't happy about this, of course, and we always try our hardest to avoid such instances, but in this case, it is unavoidable. Since this is the first implementation, we are also not sure if we will require a new save too for the next update, but if that's the case, that'd be the last time we need it. 

Alternatively, we will also look for alternatives, like giving you the ability to skip ahead parts of the story (the intro and maybe the first chapters), so if this is required, at least it will not be too tedious to start again.

With this said, let's now talk about what changed. First, MC/corruption was too tied to your relationship level in the past; you used MC only to increase your relationship level, and it felt that it wasn't too much different than just flirting, dating, etc., besides the scene's tone and mood.

That felt a bit underwhelming and also made it harder to write new content because it was hard to track in the past if you increased your relationship via MC or by dates. Now, they will have a personal relationship level and a corruption level that increases individually; you can now corrupt someone and not date them if you don't want to, which will have some future implications.

Corruption now is increased through the use of spells. There are four of them: Mesmerize, hallucinate, conditioning and degenerate. Some of them will be unlocked when you progress with their corruption. 

To do these spells, you will use your "control" over them, and in exchange, it will increase their "normalization," once this is maxed, you will have the ability to use the spell "Reprogramming," which effectively increases their corruption to the next level. We have tried not to make it too grindy, but we are very open to feedback to make proper adjustments.

In the future, you will be able to do special training, like reducing their inhibition to make them wear sexy outfits.

And talking about that, we are also implementing a new layer system for the portraits and soon also the CGs; this will allow us to make them more dynamic and will let us implement things like new outfits, accessories, and even transformations more easily. 

For now, we want to focus on implementing this system into the rest of the cast before we continue, but the most difficult part (planning and the initial implementation) is done, so we hope we can progress rather quickly from this point on! • A new save is necessary! 
• New relationship system using "levels" instead of "labels," so each character can progress at their own pace. 
• New corruption system: Now corruption is its own thing instead of just being complementary to the relationship system. You will use control to cast spells to increase their normalization. When normalization is maxed, you can use the spell "reprogramming" to increase their corruption.
• The new spells are Mesmerize, hallucinate, condition, and degenerate. They will unlock as you increase someone's corruption. 
• New layered portrait system, will allow us to add both new outfits and transformations with ease. Although adding clothes is easy, transformations are tricker, so we may keep these simple or limited to one per character.
• New systems are all implemented on Laia, the mushroom girl.
• The first four levels of relationship have been added to her (from 0 to 3, you can get up to 4, but this one has no new scenes)
• Similarly, the first four levels of corruption have been added to her. 
• We tried our best to fix all bugs we could find, but since this is all new code, we wouldn't be surprised if we missed something; we apologize in advance!
• We wrote roughly 10k words of content for her alone! 
• Also, NOTE: Laia at this state is still WIP; she will have more than four levels of either corruption or relationship, but this was as much as we could do in a single update, including updating all the other systems.
