Weekly dev update 08/05/22

Biggest news first: we've finally gotten ourselves a new character artist! He's spent this week getting used to working in the project, familiarizing himself with what needs to be done and playing the game. He's also started work on a new character we'll be introducing later this year, who'll work as a sort of guide and assistant to the player in whatever naughty endeavors they might have.
Our programmer has also finally disconnected the game's old inventory system, and work has started on plugging in the new system! This turned out to be a somewhat bigger task than we anticipated, since the old inventory system permeated the back-end like some kind of a cancerous growth. Needless to say, things got a little messy! Good thing is, the number of processes and calculations the game needs to do have now dropped down to half. This should provide another huge performance boost.
Otherwise work continues on our new game start and tutorial sequence. The new university is being built, and hopefully we'll be able to showcase it pretty soon! Lastly, we'll leave some concept art for you to ponder over.
